ANTIPAS MINISTRIES
INTERNATIONAL UPDATES: GHANA
Welcome to the temporary home of the International Updates
section of the Antipas Ministries website. This section
of the website provides first-hand accounts of what our
brothers and sisters throughout the world are doing to
further the God’s message and to also report their progress
in establishing and expanding home fellowships in their
part of the world.
Eugene Bonsu is an evangelist living in Accra, Ghana,
which is on the Central West African coast. Accra is
the capital city of Ghana and is a city of over 1.5 million
people. Eugene has been in contact with us for almost
4 years and in that time has increasingly become more
involved in spreading the message of this ministry. Eugene
is not affiliated with any other Christian organization
and over the past year has even separated himself from
the mainline churches in Ghana, due to their following
the apostate direction of the American Evangelical Church.
Presently Eugene is involved in evangelism efforts and
in the establishment of home fellowships in Accra, and
his efforts have been met with a very positive response
from those around him. He has been printing and distributing
our writings at great personal cost to himself, to the
point that he sometimes even has to skip meals to afford
access to the website and the printing of materials.
It is our hope to gather enough support for Antipas Ministries
to be able to purchase an inexpensive computer and printer
for him and to provide Eugene with assistance towards
the work of establishing home fellowships in and around
Accra. We plan to bring Eugene to the Ranch for one or
two months in the fall to provide him with training on
the message of this ministry and we also plan to send
one of us from the Ranch to Accra to assist the brothers
and sisters there for 3 to 4 weeks.
Below you’ll find Eugene’s first report on the goings
on of the Church in Accra.
JUNE 1, 2005
Dear Sean,
Thanks a lot for your letter. I had been also looking
towards the day I would present you with our report on what
has transpired in the month of May. Please here is the
report on what we have been doing here:
ANTIPAS HOME CHURCH - GHANA BRANCH
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MAY 9TH -- MAY 30TH,
2005 REPORT:
--------------------------------------------------------------
BACKGROUND AND LOCATION
-------------------------------------------------
This work of the Lord here is actually engineered
through the agencies of various articles read from
the two websites of the Antipas Ministries: www.antipasministries.com(formerly
www.endtimesnetwork.com)
and www.isrp.org. I have entered into correspondence
with Antipas Ministries for almost four (4) years now.
Such an outstanding message though unpopular in today's
church should not be kept in the chamber, and this thought,
even the thought of spreading it to all and sundry became
the hallmark of my daily routine in life. I foresee that
such a great vision giving to Grandpa Shearer and the
rest of Antipas by the Lord will strike across the United
States and the rest of the globe, '' And this Gospel of
the Kingdom will be preached in all the world for a witness
unto all nations; and then shall the end come,''
(Matthew 24: 14.). There will be really a great
harvest to come.
This prompts me to be a visionary too, so, I communicated
and discussed it with one church member of mine: Mr. Joshua
Anim who also like me, in a way, desired ''to seek refugee''
by fleeing from a ''Terrorised Church'' under the total
manipulations of apostate Christian leaders and their
system and order of leadership structure. Both of
us planned to hold meetings in his small hall. He
rents a part of an apartment with his wife and
four children- in Kwabenya a suburb of Accra-for two years
of which a year has already expired. He in turn told the
family and other people and all got started after praying
about it. We agreed to be meeting on Mondays 6:30PM -
7:30PM and even other days when possible. I see to the
teachings and other spiritual aspects so far as Antipas
Ministries is concerned, and Mr. Anim sees to the administrative
responsibilities of this ministry in Ghana.
MEMBERSHIP
---------------------------------
We met FOR THE FIRST TIME for the purpose of
introducing what Antipas Ministries is all about. We used
a material printed from the Antipas website entitled,
'' What is Antipas Ministries?'' We are ten in number
but there are others not near to the location of the ministry
yet we make effort visiting and learning with them. These
are the details of what we actually looked at:
BELIEFS AND DISBELIEFS OF ANTIPAS MINISTRIES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is Antipas
Ministries?
- We are not a "discernment ministry"
whose role is to expose heresy. If these are the "last
days", none of us should be surprised to see
the Church fall away because the Bible clearly says
that it will. If we understand our true enemy, Satan,
we don't need to look for conspiracy under the carpet
(the Masons, the Illuminati, the international bankers,
the CNP, UN, New Agers, etc). In fact, we don't have
to look far, because the Lord warns that the real problem
for the "last days" Christian is not
the heathen but the apostate Church!
- We do not believe the church is going to suddenly
rapture, leaving the most crucial moment in all of mankind's
history to those who are "left behind."
The doctrine of the pre-tribulation rapture is either
true as presented, or one of the false teachings of
the apostate church and part of the "last days"
deception.
- We do not believe the prophetic Scriptures are so
cryptic and difficult to understand that we will be
left in the dark as we contemplate images of beasts,
ten headed dragons, plagues, multi-colored horses and
the like. We do not believe that we need the experts
with initials after their names, to interpret the plain
Word of God for us. We believe that God Himself will
unfold the plain meaning of His Word to those who have
an open heart and mind, who seek Him. He will make it
clear as we have a "need to know."
But if we are so steeped in traditional "wrong"
teaching, we will not hear what the Spirit is saying
to the churches.
- We do not take the position of most evangelicals that,
since the United States of America does not appear to
be mentioned in prophecy, that it will fade away into
oblivion so God can get on with the real prophetic players.
We look at Scripture and specifically Revelation 18,
and we see a commercial, political empire that dominates
the earth like no other nation in the history of mankind,
commercial Babylon! There is no other nation on the
face of the earth that fits that description.
- The U.S. is the only economic and military superpower
left. It also happens to be one of the only friends
of that new little nation of Israel that was miraculously
restored after 2,000 years. We see that the world is
focused on that little piece of real estate and Jerusalem
is truly "a cup of trembling" to the
nations. We know from Daniel 9:27 and other verses that
a great leader, the king of Babylon, will make a covenant
with Israel, setting off the "seventieth week
of Daniel," known more commonly as the Tribulation.
No other nation could or would even want to guarantee
Israel's safety.
- One of the greatest dangers for the Church is that
it will get caught up in the "right and wrong"
of the political process, the managed media, and the
lust for money. Our writings endeavor to expose current
political, social and economic events for what they
really are and how these things affect the Christian
establishment - not what we are told by the mass media.
The apostate church will join in an "unholy"
alliance with the Beast - and that is not just our opinion.
- Finally, we are not just concerned with studying and
writing about these issues, but we want to join with
people who will act. We don't want to be just "hearers"
but "doers" of the Word. Prophecy is
given not so we can have enlightened and stimulating
discussion, but we need to "DO" something
about what we see!
We seriously considered the last point above
and all agreed willingly and zealously to act.
We talked about printing the articles of Antipas
for our studies by sharing amongst ourselves for each
one to study for himself or herself and also when we meet
for group studies. We also planned to go out to spread
this MESSAGE so we thought of the means to print the articles
in bulk so we can reach out to many people in Accra and
across the entire country by way of sharing freely. Each
person was joyful. We prayed and closed.
LATER MEETINGS
-------------------------------
Here we started discussing some fundamental issues in
regards to the studying of eschatology:
'' The Distinction between Israel and the Church. We
studied the five covenants of God with Israel. We understand
that four are unconditional and one-the Mosaic- is
conditional. The conditional one does not outweigh the
unconditional ones, thus, God through the ''New Covenant''
yet future will restore Israel. God bringing in the Church
does not supplant Israel but for God to have Two Entities
staying side-by-side each other for His great purpose
in THE END. We looked at Evangelicalism and Covenant Theology;
the mindset of the Dominionist. Today’s church being plunged
into the quest of taking the earth through the political
process-The Beast is being formed.
We are also looking intently at '' The American Empire:
in Search of Babylon! What does the Bible say? We are
currently on ''The Times of the Gentiles'' and looking
at the two prophetic outlines - the dream of the image
and the vision of the four wild beasts- running through
till the close of the 70th Week.
OTHER MATTERS
-----------------------------
We visit brothers who wish to gather with us and have
home churches immediately around them but cannot
come to our meetings due to the distance. I HAVE GIVEN
MOST SOME OF THE ARTICLES OF ANTIPAS AND I GO THERE TO
STUDY AND DISCUSS WITH THEM.
PROBLEMS
------------------
Our number is increasing and we need the means to print
more articles to supply for each ones personal and group
Bible studies. We also want to use the free distribution
of the articles as a propaganda Machine for evangelistic
purposes in reaching out to all and sundry in Ghana.
Thus the printing of the articles is a pressing need.
Attach to that, we need leadership skills and theological
training so far us Antipas Ministries is concerned. More
especially myself-to be able to impart to others also
who are ever ready to hold home churches across the country.
RECOMMENDATIONS
---------------------------------
We are expecting assistance concerning the above-mentioned
challenges. Pray for us dear ones.
Yours in His Vineyard
Evangelist Eugene Bonsu
