In the Bush/American version of Christianity,
a mere, mortal man has the authority to kill thousands
upon thousands of people because the conclusion has
been drawn that there is an evildoer… in the battle
between good and evil… that has to be eliminated.
Those who practice this kind of faith are the enemies
of the cross (Phil. 3: 18) and will
be judged as such… by Christ Himself (John
5: 22).
Acerbic whit otherwise… what she
is commenting on is GW’s repeated assertions
that Iraqis are better off now than before the invasion,
no matter that all available evidence points to the
contrary. I guess he has realized that many, many
Americans will just take his word for anything…
no matter what. Or maybe he feels especially emboldened
in knowing that any real efforts made to contradict
his message among the people can be headed off by
arrest and intimidation. Don’t think its true?
Ask the couple who got arrested
for wearing anti-Bush T-shirts to a GOP rally in which
Bush was in attendance.
Taken separately people could be excused
on one level for not fully realizing where all this
is headed… but when you look at everything involved
all together and you combine it with the direction
prophecy says we are taking you have to really be
blinded to not notice. Bush and Company… along
with his Christian allies are in the process of transitioning
the US from democracy to dictatorship. As that process
is accelerated the wars and their severity will increase…
not decrease. Loss of liberty and freedom of speech
in the US will diminish not rebound. The deathly errors
of the American Church will be compounded… not
repented of. Whereas God’s call to flee from
Babylon the Great is more than relevant now…
it will heighten in its urgency in the days to come.
Leaving now may be hard… but in the future the
stakes will be greater along with the risk and sacrifice
involved.
This is why we at Antipas Ministries
have come to Canada and it is why we have established
this ranch. We are working to provide a landing pad
for those coming out… until they can set out
upon the course God is providing for them and all
of us to spread the Gospel of the Kingdom throughout
the world. We wish to train people to be effective
ministers (servants) in that capacity and we hope
to intensify our efforts on the Internet in order
to reach more and more with this message.
Currently we have over 20 people involved
with us here in Canada. We have grown much faster
than we envisioned and the cost has been tremendous.
At this time we urgently call for your help. We are
running things on a shoestring, but with the numbers
we have that still entails a sizeable portion for
food, electricity, gas, etc. Not to mention our expenses
for maintaining and repairing the property. Whatever
you can do to help is needed at this time. You can
do so by clicking on this link
for information towards supporting us. In the meantime…

Thousands have been arrested on terrorism
charges in the US over the past few years. I bet hardly
anyone knows anything about the cases though. Seems
most all of the charges have turned out to be blatantly
false and as a result thousands of people
have spent 2 or 3 years in jail on false accusations
made by the US government… And you wonder why
I left…
You’d think Americans would be
up in arms about so many false arrests over such a
short span, especially when those being arrested are
being held in secret locations until their trial dates.
There’s been nary a peep over the matter though.
I guess folks have been too busy picking a copy of
one of the world’s most famous forgeries
about Jewish people at their local Wal-Mart. Here
at Antipas we have dealt with how bogus
the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion is, but
most Americans deep inside really connect with the
idea that there is a cabal of evil Jews who are plotting
to conquer the world. Sad stuff…
Also sad is the terrible number of children
that are dying over in Iraq. 3000
per month is the number at this moment.
Don’t fool yourself into thinking that the majority
of these are being killed by insurgents, because recent
data shows US troops and their allies are responsible
for the majority of Iraqi deaths. My
question is how can supposed Christians be party to
such carnage. Didn’t Christ say the following?
“Then said he unto the disciples,
It is impossible but that offences will come: but
woe unto him, through whom they come! It were better
for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck,
and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend
one of these little ones.” Luke
17: 1, 2
“But Jesus said, Suffer little
children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for
of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew
19: 14
Yes he did, but American Christians
either don’t know it or understand it…
or else they have rationalized it away.
For the past few years I have been warning
about the potential for the 2004 being stolen by the
GOP. I have posted many, many links to web sites detailing
the potential for vote fraud. At the eleventh hour
it looks like a larger circle of people is starting
to not just harbor these thoughts, but have the willingness
to put
them out to the public as well. Maybe
Bush and Co. won’t need such fraud to hold onto
power, but believe me when I say that everything is
in place to rig the vote or even “postpone”
the election if necessary for them to stay in power.
Also believe me when I tell you these guys are willing
to do it… especially considering how bad
news in Iraq continues to keep this election
close.
Don’t tell that to Conservative
Christians though… en masse they are the foot
soldiers for the Bush reelection campaign… and
to hear them tell their story, the party that has
brought the US an open-ended war resulting in tens
of thousands of deaths, a shrinking economy, the transformation
of the land of the free into a police state, and a
level of hate and vitriol not seen in decades…
is also the party
of Jesus Christ and His Church. Actually
its more like the party of the Woman
that Rides the Beast.
Ask any of the citizens of the following
countries, who have felt the wrath
of the US war machine if it matters whether
Republicans or Democrats are in power: Iraq, Afghanistan,
Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Grenada, Panama, the former
Yugoslavia or nations attacked covertly, like Chile,
Cuba, or Brazil and most likely they’ll tell
you it matters not whether an elephant or donkey murders
and pillages your countrymen. In reality there’s
no substantial difference between Kerry and Bush,
or their two parties, other than the fact that Bush
and the Republicans are the one’s who claim
to be “of Christ” and therefore from a
prophetic standpoint are the much more dangerous of
the two. Claiming to be of Christ is the significant
issue here, because the real fact of the matter is
that what we are dealing with is Counterfeit
Christianity… and it is this imposter
of true faith that will bring sorrow and misery to
the world in prophetic proportion.
September 15, 2004
Well, it looks like Election 2004 is
really heating up now. Bush’s special treatment
and failure of duty during Vietnam are now out in
the open… but not so surprisingly even this
revelation (which some of us have been making note
of for four years now) is doing all that much to sway
the electorate. At best all the attack ads do is serve
as a smoke screen to the real problems today, like
an illegal war fought under false pretenses in Iraq,
a struggling economy, and the fact that neither Kerry
nor Bush have any plans to change course on matters
of any significance.
Thankfully, the Lord in His wisdom has
seen fit to deliver me from out of the belly of that
beast and up here to Canada… in these oh so
tumultuous times. We have been quite busy up here
as of late, as you may have noticed by the absence
of journals. The weather has already started changing
to fall and it has really put us under the gun to
get a lot of things done around here that can’t
be done during the winter. Work on the 3-bedroom cabin
is now almost complete. Andy Ross has practically
rebuilt the place and Steve’s son Jack is almost
finished re-doing the electrical. The Mills family
who are here with us on the ranch are finishing up
floors and things of that nature. We are hopeful for
them to be moved in within the next week.
Back during the early summer the open
range season started up here in British Columbia.
What that means is that ranchers can apply for permits
to allow their cattle to graze on the open range (government
owned property) during the summer months. This relates
to us because one such rancher near us with several
hundred cattle makes use of this permit. Well, as
the summer winds down the cows essentially eat their
way back down from the hills and dales of the crown
land they are “permitted” on towards our
communityof Forest Grove. As the cows made it down
in ever-increasing numbers they began appearing in
our hay fields every morning, which is not a good
thing… since nobody wants to buy hay with cow
dung in it for their horses. With beef prices so low
(which I’ll get back to later) this rancher
had no interest in coming to pick up his cows…
instead choosing to just let them stay out, which
in essence means find their way to our hay fields.
The reason they were going to our hay
field is because when we bought the place, it came
with no fencing done on the back perimeter of the
main field. So there was nothing to prohibit the cows
from strolling on down and setting up camp. This time
last week we must have had between 30 to 40 cows in
the field, which would return in varying numbers every
time we ran them out. So, without even having the
money to do it, Jack, Brent, and myself spent the
better portion of last week putting up barbwire and
electric fencing… over 1700 feet times 3 strands
worth of it to be exact. It was tough work, but it
sure feels good to have it done. All told it put us
back about a thousand dollars, which we didn’t
have… so if possible please send support.
As I mentioned above, beef prices are
incredibly low in Canada at the moment. This of course
doesn’t relate to lower prices at the supermarket,
just for people selling on the hoof. With this in
mind we thought that we might see about buying a cow
to fatten up for beef over the winter. After looking
around the area, we couldn’t find a cow within
our “price range,” which trust me…
isn’t that much. So Brent suggested we try the
stock auction up the road in Williams Lake. So off
we went to the auction. Having never been to one before,
I didn’t know quite what to expect, but it was
pretty much like I’d seen on TV. There was a
guy calling the auction as they herded individual
cows into an indoor viewing pen surrounded by bleachers
for bidders. These were for the most part open range
cows from around the area, which meant they have been
eating grass all summer instead of feed lot rations
full of growth hormones and antibiotics. Most of the
cows there were 900 to 1400 pounds, with a few closer
to 2000. They were going from 13 to 17 cents per pound
on average… so I was already feeling good about
our chances of getting a cow. Well, thank the Lord,
we did even better than the average. I bid on an older
cow that weighed in at 925 pounds. The bidding started
at 5 cents per pound and I bid at 5.50. The bidding
then inched past 6 and up to 7 cents. I bid at 7 cents
and astoundingly no one else bid. So there I was with
a 925-pound cow that I had bought for 65 dollars!
The Lord was really with us on that
one… And He has been with us on so many other
things as well. In the almost two weeks since we brought
the cow back to the ranch she has put on about 100
pounds. We figure we can have her up to around 1200
pounds by the time we are ready to butcher her in
late October/early November. We’ll get at least
600 pounds of beef from her (maybe more), which will
take care of our needs in that capacity well through
the winter… and praise the Lord we’ll
have probably only spent around 200 dollars on her
when it is all said and done. Getting this amount
of beef is no small thing when you have the number
of people here that we do.
We have also been working to build a
round corral for training the horse we bought. The
purpose in buying him was to break and train him and
then to sell him. He has been a lot of fun to have
around, but I am looking forward to getting him worked
and finding the right person to take him. Once we
get the corral completed we can really begin working
him. Hopefully, weather permitting, that can be accomplished
this week. The weather has really turned on us and
it seems as if winter is just around the corner. We
went from temperatures in the 90’s during mid
August to 50’s and 60’s with rain ever
since. It just got cool and started raining one day…
and for the most part it hasn’t stopped since.
This has really put a sense of urgency
into us on getting all of our firewood cut and split.
We have thus far cut and split about 10 cords of wood..
we being Andy and Juan for the most part. It will
probably take us around 12 to get through the winter.
That is really cutting it close though… and
we hope to have between 15-20 cords cut and split
before winter hits.
There are yet more projects we have
going on at the moment, but I’ll save those
for another time. We recently added two more people
to the mix up here, as Tom and his daughter Audra
came up from Arizona to stay for a couple of months.
Once we get the school actually up and going, they
will be taking part in that… but in the interim
they have decided to join us for a spell and though
its only been a couple of days, we have all enjoyed
their presence. Additionally, Jennifer’s husband
Chris finished up his schooling and has now joined
us up here. That brings our total to 21 with 2 being
in Vancouver during the week for college courses.
We are rapidly growing… with more people on
the way later this month and also in October. We are
turning the corner on getting Immigration issues resolved
and on getting the ministry established in Canada
for the purpose of starting the school. At that point
there will be many, many more people who join us up
here. We can use all the help we can get to keep this
thing going… so in addition to praying for us…
support us in this endeavor as well.
Fred and Cheryl are leaving today for
their cross-country trip. Over 60 of you are scheduled
to meet with them over the next coupel of months.
We are so encouraged that so many of you are stepping
out there in this way. The things that are set to
occur in the US do not bode well for those who truly
love the Lord. This is why our Lord has commanded
us to “come out of her (the US).” Fred
and Cheryl will be meeting people throughout the country
to fellowship and focus on the practical issues involved
in getting out of Babylon the Great. They too will
be leaving soon, so this may be one of the last full-blown
efforts we make to meet with people in the States.
If you are interested in trying to set something up
with them, you can try and reach Fred on his cell
phone. That number is: (916) 730-7099.
The issues at hand are very serious
and very real. The Church has devolved into a state
of apostasy from which the greater portion of it will
never return. It has inextricably bound itself to
the beast that is the United States. The elites who
control the US and the world use Christianity and
the Church as a tool or pawn to further their agenda
of hegemony for greater riches. To maintain this type
of world system requires war abroad and repression
at home. Rather than stand against this on the principles
of God’s Word, the Church has instead thrown
its weight into supporting and enabling this beast
to maintain and expand its iron grip and have perverted
the very words of the Bible to do so.
The Bible has predicted all these things
and it has also provided Christians with a solution.
That solution is to come out from the beast and to
testify against Christianity’s involvement with
it. This is what has led us up to Canada to start
the ranch. It is what is driving us to get the school
going so that others can be trained and sent throughout
the world to spread this message and most importantly
the Gospel of Salvation. It is what has led Fred and
Cheryl to spend the next two months trekking through
the US in their car, so that they might get “face
to face” and share with you the impetus for
this course of action.
More and more of you are responding
to this message. Many of you are beginning to realize
that the work we are doing up here may someday provide
a place for you… if not here then somewhere
throughout the world. There are also some of you who
are just now putting all the pieces together and realizing
exactly where the Church, the US, and the world are
headed. This work… this ministry… is for
you. We hope that you will all continue to read this
message and we hope that in boldness of spirit you
will begin to “make a little noise” wherever
you are at. We also hope that you will support us
in this work, so that we may continue to keep this
thing going.
Next time I’ll have some thoughts
and comments on the news of late... but for now…
God Bless,

Things are really heating up at the
RNC in New York. Tons of folks have been arrested
and police are really using a heavy hand to intimidate
and disperse protestors. Now I have been to a few
of these types of gatherings (2000 RNC, 2001 Inauguration,
WTO Agricultural Exposition) and have never seen those
involved in protesting do anything that would warrant
the types of Gestapo tactics used to get them out
of the streets. This, as I said, is from what I have
seen from my own eyes… not through the filters
of CNN, FOX, or even leftwing alternative press organizations.
That being said, since I am up here
in the Great White North for this go round…
I will provide a few interesting stories from said
media representatives. It appears that the police
forces in the States are becoming more and more
militaristic
in their activities. The tactics and movements they
are using to torment activists in NYC this week are
more akin to what one might find in Najaf than what
one would expect from a civil protection force.
Yet rather than scaring people into
submission and off the streets, thus far huge numbers
of people being arrested have been the only results.
The numbers stand somewhere around 1700
at the moment. While the police have been very effective
at herding and containing people, who in my opinion
are constitutionally justified to have the right to
assemble and “air their grievances,” they
really haven’t done much to push people off
of the streets. Maybe this is indicative of just how
deep the dislike of Bush’s policies and actions
run among those out their standing against it.
If you want to see what’s going
on at the RNC from an “independent” viewpoint,
then be sure and check out the indymedia.org
website. They have message boards, photo pages, and
live radio feeds telling the tale of what is happening
on the streets. I also encourage everyone to check
out the latest from our own Brian
Swanson, available over on the Endtimes
Network website. Though even the more mainstream elements
of the press are providing better coverage than was
available in 2000, they are still providing it via
a noticeable “corporate filter.” However,
in the sense of fairness, I will offer one such link.
See, Fox news isn’t the only outfit who can
be “fair and balanced.”
Anyway, things have really been pretty
wild lately. GW flip-flopped
on winning the Terror War… and then ironically,
the Democrats rushed in to full the breach by exclaiming
how they could and would “win it” if elected.
Guess there’s no party of peace this time around…
Especially when you see quotes like the following
from Kerry, where he intimates that he could fight:
"a more effective, more thoughtful,
more strategic, more proactive, more sensitive war
on terror"
Sensitive war on terror… Yep that
makes a lot of sense… I guess that means you
go to therapy while you order spectre gunship attacks
on Iraqi and Afghani villagers. What it goes to show
is that Kerry offers no hope either. The only real
hope is the Lord Jesus Christ… and trust me…
He is not endorsing either Kerry or Bush.
Yet that doesn’t matter to Bush
and company. Those guys pay lip service to Christ
while they man the levers of an imperialistic war
machine with their hands, and lust for the riches
of this world with their hearts. The stakes are high
for these guys… with November just around the
corner. If they can get over the hump and snatch “4
more years”… then we may all have front
row seats to the end of the pretense
of Democracy in America.
What is interesting is that I know a
ton of Republican, Christian-conservative people.
Many folks in my family fall under that sub group
of Americans… and while I am not shy about calling
to task the veracity of the faith of people who embrace
that ideology… I will concede that either don’t
see or have chosen to overlook the fact that the core
of what the Republican powerbrokers are pushing for
(and against) is not only not in the best interest
of these folks… but many times, when questioned…
these people are actually opposed to the documented
stances of the Bush, Cheney-type Elites. Yet they
still consider themselves on
the same team… Just an observation…
that maybe I’ll flesh out another time.
Until that other time… God Bless…
August 25, 2004
Like I brought up the other day, the
insurgency
is still going with full force in Iraq. Since GW made
his famous declaration of victory and end to the “combat
ops phase” of Operation Iraqi Freedom, at least
500 service men and women have been killed. Thousands
more have been wounded to go along with the untold
thousands of Iraqis dying and being wounded either
in the “shooting war” or as collateral
damage.
Americans, for the most part have tuned
out these unpleasant truths … and have chosen
to continue going on in the belief that God is with
them and their leaders… in the “battle
of good versus evil.” Would that it were true.
The guys who benefit from the war don’t
even have the same survival concerns that the average
American does. Not just insofar as being in the line
of fire in Iraq is concerned, but also insofar as
being safe and secure from whatever catastrophe or
calamity that may strike at home. Underground
facilities built to withstand nuclear
wars and remote safe houses tailored for high-level
dignitaries are sprinkled throughout the country to
keep the men who control the lives of hundreds of
millions from having to bear the repercussion their
actions of imperialism and greed can potentially bring
to the US. Christ said that while foxes have holes
and birds have nests… He as The Son of Man didn’t
even have a place to rest His head, but guys like
Bush, Cheney, Ashcroft, etc… men who supposedly
are servants of Christ… have facilities in place
to secure their survival from any number of terrible
events. Just thought that was interesting…
Meanwhile, not content with just securing
themselves in fortresses, these men of power have
truly heightened
their efforts to spy upon, harass, and
otherwise intimidate citizens they view as being opposed
and active against the agenda of World Empire. For
people who spend great energy framing their battle
as one of good versus evil and democracy versus tyranny…
they sure do seem to be adept at using Gestapo tactics
to squelch dissent.
As a believer in Christ, what truly
pains me is that all of this is going on under a cloak
of Christian
religiosity and that those in the States
who should supposedly know better than to follow along
are either fully behind all the efforts of empire,
deceived into thinking they can hide in a spiritual
bomb shelter and ride out the storm, or too busy trying
to expose the Bush’s as Free Masons, Trilateralists,
or part of the Illuminati. In a nutshell, the overwhelming
majority of “Christendom” in the US is
in the words of the Bible… “Salt that
has lost its savor.” Look it up for yourself
and see what use this kind of salt is good for.
For a perfect example of what passes
as Christian insight into world affairs and how most
Christians view GW Bush, just check out this link
from Crosswalk Ministries. Christian rationale, as
expressed in the articles purports that Bush can’t
be evil because his is the one “fighting evil”…
and that since “he prays in the oval offices…
now is not the time to beat up on the president”
The writer then concludes by saying
that, “Believers should know better. I urge
all Christians to re-examine a preoccupation with
conspiratorial thoughts that when left unchecked turn
into bizarre thinking that is counterproductive to
America.”
Put aside the fact that the article
is chastising Christians for chasing after NOW-type
conspiracy theories and look at her statement that
as believer we shouldn’t even be thinking thoughts
that can be construed as “counterproductive
to America.” This my friends, is where the average
American Christian seems to be… more concerned
with being productive Americans than with being faithful
servants of Christ... more concerned with defending
the actions of someone who claims to pray in the Oval
Office than contending with how those actions are
bringing bloodshed and misery to the world. Christ
never called anyone to put such blind faith in men,
especially when their “fruit” is so obviously
contrary to the Gospel. Instead Christ called us out
of this world and called us to be bold in our testimony
against those who bear false witness in His name and
He called us to be unyielding in or testimony of love
for Him and His Kingdom to Come.
August 23, 2004
Now I am not getting all misty-eyed
about Pat Buchanan or anything, but his recent commentary
putting forth the idea that Bush and the Neocons are
willing to strike Iran is a very plausible idea…
Terrible, but plausible. These guys realize two things.
Number one they realize that they are going to have
to do something about Iran’s heightened efforts
at constructing nuclear weapons… and number
two they realize that the only way to turn things
around in Iraq is to escalate matters.
What I mean by this is that striking
Iran would most certainly bring Iranian troops into
Iraq, which would enable the Americans to totally
and completely take the gloves off. In actuality,
Bush and company… along with those making trillions
off this whole thing… could really care less
about what happens to the people of Iraq. If they
have to turn the whole place into a dust-bowl it really
doesn’t matter… just so long as they keep
the oil fields secure and can get things to the point
where troops stationed there are not constantly fighting
for their lives. As we documented in a recent article,
the money being made over there is astronomical to
the point where it almost defies comprehension. For
sums like 3 trillion dollars, the men making and influencing
the decisions are willing to do just about anything.
Speaking of big
money… Dick Cheney’s old
outfit Halliburton doesn’t seem to be content
with the billions they were destined to make under
the ludicrous contracts they received for services
in Iraq. Now it looks like they have been padding
bills, stealing equipment, and hiding Iraqi cash in
order to further fatten
themselves off the kill. Good thing they’re
a bunch of good old Christian Texas boys… or
they might really do something bad.
In a nutshell, this whole thing is merely
about filthy lucre. You can dress a pig up in anything
you want… but it is still a swine… By
that I mean that all the hypnotized Christian zombies
who push the idea that we are fighting to give the
Iraqis democracy, or that we did this to get rid of
Saddam, or the old forgotten one about the phantom
WMDs that we had to destroy, are simply trying to
dress the pig up real nice in the hopes that no one,
themselves included, will notice that the simple truth
is that they are holding a pig in their arms. This
thing has been, is, and always will be about money.
Sadly, the Church… who is supposed to be “not
of this world,” has sullied terribly through
its support and involvement in these things.
Speaking of sullied… that’s
kind of how I feel whenever I look at all the E-vote
info out there on the web. I am not currently living
in the States… but I must say that it is remarkable
to me how nonchalant the average American is about
the rigging of the vote that has been taking place
the past couple of years. Also of note is what is
going on in Florida… and other states…
to intimidate and coerce people prone to vote against
Bush and the GOP from staying away from the polls.
Whether it is police intimidation, illegal purging
of the rolls, or the gerrymandering in Texas…
the full court press has been on for quite some time
to insure those in power… stay in power.
From a prophetic perspective the direction
all of this is headed is sobering. The men who call
the shots see this as their moment to establish an
American Empire unparalleled in the annuls of history
and one surely not be challenged in theirs or their
children’s lifetimes. They also and more importantly
see this as a way to turn said empire into a vehicle
to deliver them riches the likes of which men have
never before seen. These same men also claim to be
of Christ… and their supporters include both
the majority of those who warm church pews on Sundays,
and an all-star lineup of Christian leaders. The Bible
predicts a time when the world’s most powerful
empire will be wedded to a fallen form of Christianity.
It predicts that through this vehicle of brute force
and apostasy, there will be poverty, turmoil, and
bloodshed the likes of which the world has never seen.
The picture it paints bears too striking a resemblance
to the actors and events of our times for us to write
it off as a lark. It should instead be compelling
to the point that we are led to action.
That is what we are doing here in Canada…
putting our faith into action. God has called all
His children to flee from Babylon the Great…
and He has called all of us into the field of harvest,
so that we might combat the evil of our day. But we
will not combat it with guns, bombs, and torture…
but with faith, charity, and love in Christ.
August 22, 2004
A while back I engaged in some debate
via phone and email about the direction things in
Iraq were headed towards. Even in journals from as
far away as 2003, I (though not alone) put forth the
idea that there was still much bloodshed to come in
Iraq and that US troops in Iraq, would in all reality
never be completely pulled out of the region.
Well many people essentially called
me nuts and said that the “resistance”
would soon be contained and that by the time of the
projected transfer of power in 2004, for all practical
purposes the “war will have been won.”
Most of the people who berated me in this way were
Christians who had stumbled across the web site, but
a few were friends and family members. I take no joy
in saying “I told you so”… because
there is no joy in being right about surmising there
were thousands more casualties and deaths to come…
but nonetheless, look at where we are at now. Just
a cursory glance at what is taking place in Najaf
and throughout Iraq reveals that the level of violence
is increases… not decreasing. In a recent
article by our own S.R. Shearer, which
dealt with the exploits of John Negroponte and his
then upcoming roll in Iraq, we laid out the lengths
to which the US would have to go to (and was willing
to go to) in order to secure the interests of Corporate
America in Iraq. As this program of brutalization
and retaliation continues… the numbers killed
and wounded on both sides will not recede for the
near future.
Yet truthful examination of the moment
or willingness to turn away from evil deeds are not
even considerations of those in power… nor of
those who blindly support them. There is an overwhelming
sentiment among such people that, “they’re
on a divinely sanctioned crusade.”
The ends always justifies the means, therefore …
whether it be sending America’s young off to
die for corporate profits in far away lands, torturing
and murdering civilians in numerous foreign war zones,
working to topple democratically elected international
leaders, or organizing and employing Mafioso type
tactics to hold onto to power at home… the objective
makes these sins palatable and in actuality (theirs
not mine) makes these actions not sinful, but redeemable.
What is that objective? Well for the
Elites… its unchallenged world power and its
commiserate riches. For their fallen Christian underlings,
who enable and prop them up at home (and abroad),
it is about taking dominion over the earth. Some would
say they merely want to save the US from being judged
by God for falling prey to Liberalism, Secularism,
Humanism, or any other number of isms… yet this
contradicts the immutable fact that the prophecies
of the Bible will take place as laid out therein and
that America along with all nations will be judged
accordingly. See, this type of rationalization is
just a facade for those who, while Dominionists at
heart, aren’t quite ready to come out of that
closet yet. These are the type of people who are much
more comfortable with slogans such as “might
makes right” than they are with the dictates
of peace and love towards friend and foe alike put
forth by the Carpenter from Nazareth.
The simple truth is that God
is neither Republican nor Democrat and
in fact the overwhelming majority of both sides in
that fray will probably find themselves stacked up
like cord-wood in the storage box for the fiery judgment
to come. Is that statement too harsh? Read the epistles
of John and Jude and then get back to me.
It doesn’t at all let them off
the hook… but what has been happening is that
the American Church has truly been played
for suckers. The overwhelming influence
behind what is recognized as Christian ideology these
days has no true biblical basis but is instead the
product of the theorizing and bankrolling of the Elites
through philanthropist like Richard
Mellon Scaife... of whom we have dealt
with in past
writings. While I hold out no hope that
those in the institutional Church opposed to the right-wing
power base are in any more possession of the truth
than those they battle… I am more than able
to connect the dots and see the warlike tactics the
Right and more importantly right-wing Christians have
employed to undo the efforts of the “liberal
church.” Once again what I see as being on trial
in this case is the treachery and deceitfulness of
those who claim to be followers of Christ. What is
revealed in all this is that they are followers of
mammon and power in the here and now.
Treachery and deceitfulness are probably
in store for all of us “in spades,” what
with the election coming up soon. The idea that electronic
vote totals can be altered and manipulated is a verifiable
fact. The speculation is on whether Bush and his supporters
(who own the voting machine companies and programs,
with codes that run the machines) are going to pull
the trigger and manipulate the vote counts
to their favor. Given the track record of these guys
(including the Christians involved with them)…
I have no problem seeing them taking measures such
as this.
Ironically, insofar as integrity of
results is concerned, the recent recall referendum
in Venezuela,
was infinitely much more “above board”
than what is sure to transpire in the US in November.
President Hugo Chavez has already withstood a CIA
backed coup attempt; a crippling oil-strike by a corrupt,
Elite backed union; US supported media attacks from
Venezuela’s oligarchic media apparatus; and
the recent American supported recall referendum. Yet
in spite of the forces arrayed against him he went
forward, as his constitution dictated, and allowed
the recall vote to take place.
The chances of that happening in the
US are pretty slim. It’s not like a Kerry victory
will be any great victory for peace, justice, or the
working man… but the point is that Bush and
his Christian supporters don’t really care about
democracy, peace, justice, or the working man in any
sense at all. What we’re looking at is a situation
where we have “the blind leading the blind”…
and these folks have been blind for so long that they
are truly starting to believe the lies they’ve
been pushing on the American people and the world.
Look at this quote I pulled from an Amazon.com feedback
response by Hunter Flangan of New York, to Tariq Ali’s
latest book:
--Why do these idiots hate
America, June 3, 2004
“We went to Iraq to save the
Iraqi's from that horrible dictator and mass murderer
Sadam. God has blessed America, a Christian nation.
We have the best system in the world, and it is our
charity and Christian goodness that we want to share
it with others and give the Arabs democracy - something
that in the 200+ years of the history of our great
nation, no Arab country has managed to give themselves.
Our soldiers have died not just for Americans, but
for Iraqis as well - like Christ died for us sinners.
We have freed Iraqi women and children from the horrible
chemical attacks of Sadam and his perverted sons.
Iraqi women, like all Arab women, are forced to wear
black all day and cover their faces because they are
truly not free because the Islam does not make people
free. So we have liberated them. We have spent billions
of dollars in a war to liberate a nation and to make
peace in the world and to protect our best friend
Israel from terrorist evils. Remember America lost
3000+ AMERICAN CITIZENS in an undeclared war (like
Perl Harbor) by terrorists from that part of the world.
Of course this book is just garbage and comes from
outside the USA.”
This is the mind set of America, i.e.
Babylon the Great… where the new national motto
seems to be, “Kill’em all and let God
sort them out.” Make haste and flee from the
judgment to come for those who bring misery to the
world in the name of Christ.

The hay has been put in the barn. Now
I truly understand that expression and the work involved
in “putting the hay in the barn”. We’ve
been extremely busy the past few weeks getting that
done. Now that the task has been completed I finally
have the time to turn my attentions to the journal.
Things on the ranch have been going
quite well lately. As I said above, the hay from our
main field has been harvested and we have it stored
for the winter. We now have 4 horses here on the property,
2 we are keeping for friends, one that belongs to
Brent, a Canadian brother who is working with us here
on the ranch, and a 2 year old we bought for practically
nothing.
Brent is going to train the 2 year old
so that we can sell him in a few months. We are excited
about the potential of working with horses here on
the ranch. The facility was originally set up for
this, so it enables us to make the best use of what
we have here already and doing this will help us meet
our day to day needs, which are growing as our numbers
here grow.
We have also been working to build a
round corral for training the horses. To get the wood
we’ve been disassembling parts of the old barn
on the property. That structure is over 80 years old
and will require a serious overhaul to become useful.
Work on the 3-bedroom cabin is almost concluded. Andy
has been rebuilding the interior of the “back
addition”. This entailed tearing out all the
interior walls, flooring, decking, and the bath, toilet
and sink of the washroom. He is now rebuilding things
and Jack is also in there working on other projects.
To that end we had to go to Kamloops
yesterday to get building materials. Kamloops is a
city of roughly 80 thousand, which is about 2 hours
south of here. We have been able to get most everything
we have needed in 100 Mile House, but the cost of
some materials has forced us to head down to Kamloops
every now and then. What struck my eye when we got
into Kamloops were the things the churches down there
are into.
In many ways, Canada is like the US.
Same language (except for the province of Quebec),
most of the same products in the stores, same types
of cars on the road, etc, etc. Yet one of the differences
between the two is that there are not as many churches
per capita as there are in the States. This is based
upon my own observations in the Vancouver area and
here in our region (the Cariboo). Down in the states,
you can’t throw a rock without hitting a church
building of some kind, but up here, while there are
still several churches in every town… there
just isn’t the overwhelming number one finds
in the States.
On the surface, this is probably a good
thing, since so much of what the American Church is
involved in is completely outside of God’s Word.
However, I have noticed that the churches up here,
though there are not as many of them, are into some
really bad things.
Yesterday in Kamloops we must have seen
4 or five billboards advertising the Alpha
Course. For those not familiar with the
Alpha course I encourage you to read the above linked
article. In brief, the Alpha Course is a series of
instruction that “introduces” people to
the Gospel while also pushing other beliefs that will
“enslave them in ritualism, works salvation,
and occult manifestations.” Once again, I encourage
you to read the info from the above link.
Also of note is that I saw many Churches
that are involved in the Lighthouse
Movement. The Lighthouse Movement is
a part of the same mindset that has brought us Alpha.
It involves many of the worst traits of the signs
and wonders-type apostolic churches and is very much
a vehicle for Dominionists theology.
This is significant because working
towards taking dominion
over the earth is the direction the whole of the Church
is taking. There is hardly an institutional church
worldwide that has not bought into the concepts of
dominion. Here in Canada it is interesting to note
that the majority of support for what Bush and Co.
are doing in the US comes from church-goers and of
course the wealthy.
Yet Christ has called us to be “not
of this world” and He has called us to be about
the business of leading others into a relationship
with Him and out of the manipulations involved in
gaining the upper hand in the here and now. The Church
does not want to hear these things however, and instead
expends its efforts trying to secure riches and power
in the here and now… much to the chagrin of
the Lord.
The reality is that Christianity, as
an institution… even on the small-scale level…
is moving further and further away from the simple
truths of the Bible. The evidence is all over the
web and can be verified by mere observation from wherever
one might be. The evidence is also there to show that
the Church, as an institution, is moving concertedly
towards taking dominion. Whether it be ruling the
US and the world through controlling the GOP or ensnaring
millions throughout the world with things like the
Alpha Course and Lighthouse Movement, there is no
longer any doubt that the direction the Church is
headed has nothing to do with the teachings of the
Carpenter from Nazareth. For those who would contest
that statement, I would encourage them to honestly
examine Christ’s own words on the type of life
He has called us to and to then examine where their
Church and their lives are headed accordingly.
Our hope is to do all we can to expose
the truth of what is going on and to offer folks proof
of “another way” with what we are doing
up here on the ranch. Canada is not perfect and neither
are we collectively or as individuals. Yet what we
desire and what we are committed to is working to
spread the unadulterated Gospel of Christ and to show
the world that Jesus is not the God of the rich and
the powerful over and against the poor and the weak…
but that He is instead their one true advocate and
that His true Church is to about the business of sharing
Him through the testimony of their lives, which are
to be “living sacrifices” to the furtherance
of His kingdom.
Sounds like heady stuff, I know…
but the simple truth of it all can be boiled down
to loving your neighbor as you love yourself…
and treating him accordingly… whether he be
friend or foe, rich or poor, dark or white, educated
or not, etc. etc. It is by living these simple commandments
of Christ and not through smart bombs and corporate
profits, nor through the impersonal dictates of psycho-babblesque
Alpha Courses or the reworked Gnosticism of the Lighthouse
Movement or other “Third-wave” dominionist
concepts that the true glory of Christ will be manifest
to the world.
Insofar as the US is concerned…
with it’s being the seat of power for this beast-system,
and the originator of most all of these wicked things…
those who truly love the Lord are commanded to flee
from her and the judgment coming upon her. For those
throughout the world the call is to stand against
the current move of godlessness (which cloaks itself
as the ultimate in godliness) by being that living
testimony of love commanded in the Bible and to be
a vocal witness against the evil being done throughout
the world in the name of Christ.

I went and saw Fahrenheit 9/11 the other
night. It was a very compelling film. Of course, most
of the info brought up in the movie is stuff I’ve
already read, researched, and/or written about…
but there is something about the visual medium of
film that really grabs one’s attention. Sadly,
grab attention is about all that it has done in the
States. While the movie made a ton of money (for a
documentary) and spent a large amount of time being
discussed by the talking heads on television…
it seems Bush and Co. still enjoy a small lead over
their democratic challengers… as if it were
all fiction… and the evidence against Bush in
the movie somehow actually doesn’t exist. Even
after the Dem.'s convention in Boston, when traditionally
a candidate gets a big bump, Bush still maintained
his numbers.
This leads me to believe that Bush will
make to a second term. The American people (no matter
how much the left doesn’t want to admit it)
and most definitely the American Church, … are
willing to be duped into giving these guys more time
to build “their empire”. Evidence has
been around for some time that suggests Iran
will be a not to far off destination for US forces
in the “War against the forces of evil.”
Yet it doesn’t seem to stir most people. Even
the fact that things in Iraq are really
bad right now… and that our soldiers
are still dying in large numbers… doesn’t
seem to make much of a difference to most Americans.
They are content to wrap themselves up in the flag
and sleep in until some “good news” arrives.
Well, about the only folks getting any
kind of good news these days are the investors and
board members of the corporations raking in billions
on service contracts in Iraq. Hey, I guess it doesn’t
matter if everything else is going bad if I’m
getting a piece of Bechtel’s $2
billion piece of the Iraqi pie. Don’t
worry though… I am not shocked… I know
this is nothing new. Christ Himself said there was
no new thing under the sun… and war profiteering
is as old as man himself.
The venerable Major
General Smedley Butler commented on it
back in 1933… and though some of the names have
changed… the results are still the same. War
equals unparalleled profits for the few… over
the carnage it brings to the many. So the next time
some rightwing Christian tells you we are fighting
Islam and evil killers over there… just tell
them we are really fighting for $
3 trillion worth of oil and hundreds
of billions worth of subsidiary contracts. Then tell
them that the real Jesus, who ran the moneychangers
out of the temple, will do much more harm to those
who would link his name to carnage in the service
of blood money and oil… Or just say nothing…
and go on about your business… which is what
most everyone does.
That’s most everyone, not everyone…
Take Ruth Latimer. She has been with Antipas for many
years now… and has begun writing herself. You
can check out her
latest piece on the Correspondent’s
Corner on the homepage, though it has cost her about
every "church-friend" she had and strained
relations with family... she still pushes towards
the mark. We also meet many others who are willing
to stick their necks out there for the truth in Christ.
Just yesterday we had two visitors from Alaska, Joel
and April, stop by on their way back home from the
Lower 48. These were two wonderful Christians, who
have spent the past few years doing all they can to
get “the Truth out
