ISRP JOURNAL
By Sean Mayfield

June 2, 2003

Though the American media painted the conflict in Iraq in an extremely flattering light, the hard truth remains that war is a terrible business. Now the media has moved on to the next "greatest story of all time" (Laci Peterson case), but there are still terrible things going on in Iraq. Meanwhile, King George has been over in Europe, touring the Auschwitz deathcamp in Poland. This is kind of ironic, since much of the Bush family wealth comes from the profits of Auschwitz slave labor and trading with the Nazis.

To most folks this would present something of a paradox, but not to GW. It also says something about the American people... in that they are so willing to overlook the truth to keep their king. Just like with the fact that to date, there is no proof of WMDs in Iraq. The absence of WMDs is big news in places like South Africa and may even cost Blair his position as Prime Minister in Britain... but the American public just does not care that their government lied and fabricated evidence to instigate a war of conquest in Iraq. You can't allow a simple thing like the truth to get in the way of imperial ambition... and this is just what the American people have, imperial ambition. They, Christians at the lead, have created a kind of "American Matrix" for themselves, where the truth is only the most convenient perception required to keep everyone in line with the greater goal of subduing the world (with Christians, it is to subdue it for Christ).

I know that seems like a mouthful, but think about it... things that would have resulted in past presidents being impeached have drawn hardly a glance from Bush's Christian constituency. There is a mindset in place that is unfathomable to those of us not swept up in it. The plan has taken preeminence over the facts. No matter that the plan is faulty on both logical and theological grounds, they have sold themselves to it and are not going to be deterred by things such as truth to the contrary.

At times times it is nice to take a step back and see from whence we have come and gain a greater understanding of how current predicaments are caused by past actions. Respective to Christianity, this is also helpful, being that the Church has lost its way so completely in every aspect. Be it warfare theology, signs and wonders, or just an out and out lust for wealth, all the sins of the Church have their origins. One such origin of the Church's current state of corruption is the platform the Kansas City Prophets provided for much of the abhorrent theology of today and the launching pad to national prominence it provided for many of today's evangelical bigshots. Let's take a look back at the Kansas City Prophets: The Roots of the Revival. It is surprising how powerful those involved have now become. At the time I thought them to be nothing more than a bunch of "nutcases"... (I still do) but the millions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of men they lead makes them dangerous "nutcases" that are going to have a very prominent part in bringing the King of Babylon to full power.

Many are beginning to wonder about the wisdom of the huge tax cuts being pushed through congress. Most want to believe the GOP is right and that their intentions are well-meaning... because the alternative is that the more extreme Republicans actually want a fiscal train-wreck. That way they can decapitate the federal government and gut the big programs.

Gore Vidal weighs in on the United States of Amnesia, and notes on the ignorance (lack of information) of most Americans on just what Bush and Co. are actually up to. Meanwhile Evangelicals are busy sharpening up their skills for duty in the "mission fields" of US conquered territory in the Middle East. While much of the rhetoric is being couched in inoffensive language, "the basic presumption (is) that the world's two largest religions are headed for a confrontation, with Christianity representing what is good, true and peaceful, and Islam what is evil, false and violent." Sadly, the Bible verifies the premise of a coming confrontation, yet the Church it describes as a participant is more on the lines of a harlot, than that of "representing what is good, true and peaceful."

Does the public really believe all the lies and fables being propagated to push forward with the Bush agenda? I say probably not... Most folks really know there were no WMD's in Iraq, yet just as in Nazi Germany's citizen's dreams of wealth and prosperity through conquest, average folks in this country, in their lusts for blood and riches are just as guilty, as the leaders who started all this... because they WANT to believe a lie. A good test of this will be this country's reaction to the negative media barrage just beginning against Iran. Just as with Iraq, it begins with accusations of Al Queda links and development of WMD's and will eventually end up with a "regime change".

While all this goes on, Bush can finally begin executing all those Guantanamo detainees. The talk now among US officials is that plans to begin executing some of the detainees needs to begin. What would you call a place where people are imprisoned without jury trial and summarily sentenced to death?... I'd call it a death camp... and what does this have to do with Jesus Christ, whom our leaders claim to serve?

With certain riders, the Israeli cabinet approved the "road map to peace". Yet folks on both sides are none to pleased with the specifics. The left hates it because they see it as to favorable to Israel, while Israelis and Christian Zionists are against it as well. The left sees the whole affair as hijacked by Israel's US lobby, but in all truth the hard-liners both in Israel and the US are just smiling and waving for the cameras, while they do all they can to derail the current plan.

They feel GW will pay attention to "condemnations of the "road map" that emerged from a gathering of right-wing Jewish and Christian activists in Washington on May 18. Billed as the "Interfaith Zionist Leadership Summit," the event drew about 400 participants and was sponsored by Jewish and Christian groups that oppose the creation of a Palestinian state." Don't bank on this, but I feel the final form of this "treaty" will be much more favorable to Israel than the "road map" in its current form. In the final form of this treaty, the US in addition to brokering the deal, will also guarantee Israel's protection with its own military and Israel will consider itself to finally be "at peace". Henceforth I just don't see how a Palestinian state can even exist for Israel to feel at peace and if one does exist, I don't see how it can be allowed to have any claim on Jerusalem or the more entrenched settlements and still leave the Israelis feeling safe enough to "live in a land of unwalled villages" Ezekiel 38.

In my minds eye, whether right or not, I don't see Israel or the Right-wingers in the US as being satisfied with this plan. Through continuing US military action in the region, coupled with reactionary terrorist strikes from Palestinians against Israel and because of US violence against Muslims, spurring these and other terrorist strikes... I think they'll eventually get things spun to the point where the final form of the treaty is very advantageous for Israel at the expense of the Palestinians.

In closing, I encourage you to read this interview with the undercover writer of the Harper's piece on "The Family", which I posted not long ago. Steve will be touching on this subject in detail in an upcoming article, and this additional info sheds more light on the plans of the theocrats highlighted in the original expose.

May 21, 2003

Not content with leaving it up to Brother Ashcroft, the Pentagon's office of Total Information Awareness is getting set up to intrude upon parts of your life (emails, purchases, medical records) heretofore private. Good thing our Christian President is fighting this war to secure our freedom, no telling how bad things would be otherwise. I guess all that "official" lying by our Christian leadership is part of the freedom thing too... Doesn't the Bible say, "For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?"... yes I thought it did. Romans 3: 7 to be exact. The thing is, as bad as an off-the-cuff "reflexive" lie is... how much more so, a premeditated lie told specifically to obfuscate and manipulate a situation and people so that you and your cronies can take a spoil while claiming the name of Christ?

I tell you what, the best business move former Halliburton Boss Dick Cheney ever made was become Bush's VP. He is still drawing a "phat" million a year from his former company and his stocks in trust have got to be climbing, what with all the basebuilding they're starting to do. It seems that since those German "wimps" dissed us so bad over Iraq, our payback to them will be pulling all our troops out and re-deploying them in Eastern European locales. Plus, a newly discovered secret reveals Halliburton has now taken over operation of Iraq oil wealth. They must be a really righteous bunch of guys for the Lord to bless them that much. Seriously though, in times past the name for this kind of shameless activity was "corruption".

Who were the winners and losers of the Iraqi showdown, not including the US and Iraq: Well Europe is almost in recession, Japan already is... the Arab world has taken a huge hit to their esteem... I guess nobody, except those who own stock in the US oil, armament, and homeland security industries. Speaking of the homeland, we are rapidly becoming a totalitarianist state. I realize that is hard for many Americans to understand, but one author tries to shed a little light by describing it as, Inverted Totalitarianism. Remember the quote from Nazi-era German Protestant Pastor Martin Niemöller:

"First they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me."

Meanwhile, most Christians in the US, not only won't be speaking out, they'll be the ones coming for me(you). Their's is a world where the imperative is the victory of the "American Way", which will enable them to win (conquer) the world for Christ, ushering in His return... while shopping and keeping their mouthes shut in the process... except of course when they come for me(you).

Be sure and check my new commentary: Revolutionary or Reformer: What is Our Calling... Plus check out the journal update:

How do you deceive an entire nation into becoming an "Evil Empire"? Constructing a complicit media is a good place to start. Next you bring in the private sector, ordinary citizens and corporations to spy on the people, along with government agencies of course. That way most who might raise dissenting voice will either be rounded up or too afraid to talk. Next you take your military behemouth and enhance its power with the use of weapons able to annihilate the world (and men yearning to use them). This is of course done in tandem with a strict regimen of military conquest.

Then you identify the "true believers" within the nation and win them over to your side. They are your foot soldiers. Finally you wrap the whole package up in the shiny trappings of "Civil Religion" A.K.A Cultural Christianity, as opposed to the real thing, which obviously won't work since it has all that stuff about loving your enemy.

Just add oil and bake for seven years at 666 degrees farenheit and voila... There you have it.

May 14, 2003

The empire continues to grow. Not satisfied with controlling the oil of the Mideast, the US is also beginning to leave quite a "footprint" in Africa. Believe or not, there are already quite a few troops there and the numbers are growing. Of course oil and other exploitable natural resources are not being given as the excuse for our increasing presence. Just more mumbo jumbo about securing democracy... Much like Enron's cooking of the books, as proved with Iraq, the US has no problem in telling any lie to get what it wants... You'd think a bunch of so called Christians in power would not do such things...

Things are really getting scary now. I don't know if any of you noticed, but GW broke one of the cardinal rules of the Presidency... by having his photo-op moment aboard the Abraham Lincoln in full military-garb, he crossed the line from democratic leader, to fascist military leader. Sounds harsh huh? Well American Presidents, even former Generals always went out of their way to never appear in any type of military attire, lest the people become concerned that a President had lost his marbles and decided to run the nation as commander in chief... Other fascist tendencies easily discernible are the glut of attacks on privacy and freedom for US citizens. Just as the Nazis had their citizens councils to keep the populace in line, so too is the US building a nation of snoops.

Another clear sign is when nations begin to endeavor in military conquest for economic gain that is cloaked in the garb of security, i.e. our war on terror and its root-spring fundamentalism Islam. That's where this is headed folks, a Holy War, which will serve nicely as a cover for the Elites to impose their economic will on the whole of the Mideast and South Asia.

It has nothing to do with democracy, or terrorism, or WMD's, or rescuing people from dangerous tyrants. If that were the case Baghdad wouldn't be in anarchy right now... Marines wouldn't be picking off defenseless civilians and tens of thousands of Shia's wouldn't be protesting America's presence in Iraq.

Yet none of these problems matter to Bush and Co. They were not to be deterred from their plan and won't be from future plans. There is a cadre of advisors formulating US plans and policy, who manufacture evidence to serve their goals and care not for the truth in doing so. Sadly most of these men are tied into Dominionist, Warfare Theology-type Christianity, and are propping up the most Right-wing sentiments of American and Israeli conservatives.

They are laying the ground work for a "New World Order" in which America, Christianity, and Israel will remake their respective worlds... America's world into an image which enriches the Elites through a globe-girding empire... Christianity's, into a world where they will destroy all evil and evildoers to usher in the "return" of their apostate version of Christ... and for Israel, safe occupation of all the land, but not through God's protection instead through a treaty of guarantee by the US of A.... God Help us all.

Hey, be sure and check out the new article on Endtimesnetwork, LIES AND DAMNED LIES: NOT DISCERNING THE TRUTH. The Church has gotten itself into an awful mess. One that sadly not many will be able to extricate themselves from. One subject the article touches on briefly is the waning economy and it's potential to foster a "spirit of insurrection"(my words) in the working class. Recent numbers bear this out, as the economy is hemorrhaging jobs at an alarming rate.

Don't expect to get anything close to a truthful answer from the Bush camp about the realities of the economy. Like everything else, on that subject the Whitehouse shows little regard for the truth. Especially on the subject of why we saw fit to conquer Iraq. After examining the myriad of pretenses offered up by Bush and company one can only come to the logical conclusion that it is about the oil... and the billions of dollars in government contracts to rebuild what we destroyed.

Also don't expect to get any truth about the true nature of what homeland security is all about. While the blind patriot pew sitters prattle on about safety from terrorism, corporate leaders and government officials foresee "security" embedded in 'fabric of society'. Sounds like something out of 1984.

While the official line is that we "liberated" the Iraqis... Iraqi villagers say the "US brought us death". Doesn't seem like there are going to be any ticker-tape parades in Baghdad anytime soon. Just goes to show what happens when you try and bring justice from the point of a sword. Meanwhile, in the aftermath of the main conflict lots of people are offering their critique of the media's presentation of the war and overall the US press is seen as nothing more than an extension of the Pentagon Press Office.

Worse than that, is the monster that the GOP attack machine has become. All who dare stand against emperor Bush are deemed evil and beyond redemption. After the Limbaugh's, Savage's, O'Reilly's, Falwell's and Robertson's get through with them, the carcass is picked fairly clean. I'm sure our Savior is proud... I would have included William Bennet in that list, but seems his gambling jones has brought him some unsought-after attention.

On a somber note... according to recent studies, accounting for Depleted Uranium illnesses, Gulf War 1 total-casualty rates jump from less than 2% to over 28%, because of disability claims linked to "GulfWar Syndrome". Now we have to wait and see what the toll will be for our conquering and occupation of Iraq.

Interestingly, much was made of Warrior Bush's carrier landing photo-op by the media, yet hardly anything is said about his being grounded due to AWOL-status during his air guard stint in the early 70's. Money can't buy everything, but it sure can keep you out of combat zones... The carrier Bush landed on (The Abraham Lincoln) is one of 9 such "super-carriers" in the US fleet, with a 10th "The Ronald Reagan" on the way. The US is the only such nation that has one, let alone multiple warships with fire unmatched by most nations entire militaries. What pray tell are we building this massive war machine for? To make the world safe for democracy? Please... more like to fulfill the scripture, which says, "...and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?" Revelation 13: 4

A while back Steve wrote an article that dealt in part with the history of the Bush family. Any simple examination of the facts makes it pretty clear that the true Jesus Christ has no part of the action committed by any of them, GW included. For even more on this sordid family history, check out this two-part series on just how much carnage they have wrought on the US and the world.

First things first... There is a new Letters From Babylon up. Be sure and check out what the evil Dracma has to say.

Now that the Mideast war has taken a pause, maybe folks will pay more attention to Bush and Co.'s attacks on the Constitution. If they have their way,Big Brother will be watching every step we take. This is no problem for GW. He has little use for those parts of the Constitution that don't explicit serve him. Who knows what's next. He has already transformed himself from AWOL National Guardsman into "Warrior President"... and with his continuing misuse of Scripture, one wonders how long before he takes on the "messiah mantle."

A quick follow-up on country music stars, the Dixie Chicks... it seems after the initial furor, they are still getting in the last laugh. On a more serious note, what happened in Florida during 2000, with over 60,000 voters illegally being removed from the rolls, is just one more indication of the lengths the Elites will go to in ensuring that democracy doesn't stand in the way of their goals.

In closing I'd like to leave you with a letter sent in from a subscriber in Michigan. He recently attended a John Hagee "conference", which was nothing more than a patriotic pep-rally. What he describes concerning this event is very much in line with all the other evidence we have seen concerning Hagee. Anyway... Here is the letter:

my name is #### I live in Michigan. I got a copy of the antipas papers CD
from a friend. Just wanted to know what the newest info is .
and what to do. My email is ##########.

also I had just went to a "john hagee" thing in Saginaw Michigan. on Friday
evening. Noticed a lot of contradiction according to the word.
He also is selling products from Israel and says a small portion goes to
Israel and the rest goes to broadcast efforts.
It was a free event but only "salt convenant partners" were allowed on the
main floor. I was handed a giving envelope upon entry. Offers from the crowd
in the form of donations were accepted as follows:with a gift of 100 or 1000
dollars you were to walk up in front of the stage and receive an American
flag a "JH" bible and for 1000 you got the flag bible and a jewel encrusted
25th anniversary globe .

one of the troubling remarks had to do with Randy Travis (country star) who
was present. They had commanded us (more or less) to call our radio stations
to get his new gospel CD (which is doing well on Christian as well as
secular charts) up to the number one spot on the chart.

a statement at another time was: the church needs to say "I have declared
war against the world and the devil"

the back drop was a 30' x 50' us flag.

He was very much into political activism as told on his pamphlet "join the
FAITH BASED RAPID RESPONSE TEAM (fbrrt) today"
saying "we need at least 1000 partners in every state to join. Make a
difference in America's future-check "yes" on your form today!
bullet points saying:
as a member of the "fbrrt", you will receive a fax/email or recorded message
from pastor hageewith bullet points concerning legislation in the
Washington pipeline of interest to people of faith.

Each member will be asked from time to time , to call or fax/email their
congressmen and senators expressing YOUR faith-based desire on that
particular issue coming to vote

etc.

the really disturbing part was the way they seemed to command and not ask
anything during the "service" like a sick Simon says mind game.
With a 10 min spiel about giving before the giving... or "stand in honor of
Gods word" then going on for nearly 15 min about America and patriotism and
other blather before ever getting to the word.

And to during the message...
"what are you gunna do with freedom,,,,,,what do you want,,,,,
speech about one faith not black or denominational etc....

be under authority

accusers are satanic evangelists

forsake not the assemblage of yourselves together

never free till "you are voluntarily mastered by something"...Follow a
pastor

you are never free till you are voluntarily mastered by something greater
than yourself
become a servant of the living God
and he said it a third time you must be voluntarily mastered by something
greater than yourself

must be bound to something ... be a servant... no freedom but the
will of God...

he said something. What is that supposed to mean?????
the worst part really was the crowd of "ditto heads" screaming and clapping
and agreeing with everything like some excited bloodthirsty mob... it was
just a glimpse to the future to me..

And when I talked about the contradictions to the word that I spotted to my
friends in the group I was with, I got nothing but static..

The whole not talking bad of an anointed man of God thing, these are the
same ones I recently tried to tell of their misplaced hope in a
pre/mid/rapture... thanks to the CD :)

oh yeah that is a story...
by the way, I never sought out your CD, I think it was answer to prayer that
I was praying last fall based on Eph 1:17-18,,
the CD came to me by way of a friend... ...but I have passed out probably 20 or more copies on to others so
far... that's after reading less than half of the "Antipas Papers" book...

anyway email me when you get a chance...

thanks,

####

Last week I came across a small bit of info about a group of elite, heavily connected Christians known as the "Family". Well, thanks to a link sent from a reader, here is an excellent treatment of this group of Theocrats, which shows just how convoluted the marriage between the Church and the Elites really is. A good summary of them is also available on Disinfopedia. What is alarming, is that Christianity has sold itself out so thoroughly to the service of the Elite cause. By thinking that controlling the reigns of power, that they can somehow usher in Christ's kingdom is utterly absurd and beyond any sane reading of the Scripture. Truth be known, the man they are ushering into power is not Christ, but antichrist. Any fair reading of the first linked article should make that very apparent.

Also of note is how intertwined the CIA is in all the "behind the scenes" activity. Just like the days of old, the boys from Langley are still in the business of controlling dissent by setting up their own progressive-type organizations... And more than ever, the government is still in the business of spying on and intimidating its own citizens. So remember, nothing you say or don't say should you consider to be private.

Hand in Hand with the Official Propaganda/intimidation machine is that of the corporate media. Take Clear Channel for example. They own 1,240 radio stations nationwide and are not afraid to pummel anyone who disagrees with their right-wing sympathies. Just ask Hans Blix, Dennis Kucinich, or the Dixie Chicks. They'll tell you first hand what happens when the media monster turns its glare towards you.

Now that the US has shored up stage one of their Mideast Manifest Destiny, they are speeding up other facets of their agenda. A positive step, in their view is the Palestinian Parliament's confirmation of Abbas as Prime Minister. He is the pro-US guy Bush feels he needs to get his "peace plan" put into action.

When foolish men dream foolish dreams... aka "Paris and Berlin prepare an alliance to rival NATO". No doubt any sensible person can see the Beast the US is becoming and outside of Christ it would be natural to attempt to counterbalance said threat... yet these guys can't be serious in thinking they will rival US hegemony. Combined their defense budgets are about 30 billion dollars, not even 1/10 of US military spending. Even more foolish is the Church whoring itself out to said beast. Revelation 18 paints a pretty sad picture of the recompense the Church receives for her harlotry.

In closing I leave you the following excerpt from another Harper's article by Lewis Lapham, entitled The Road to Babylon. In it he quotes another of my favorite Mark Twain stories, which satirically derides the imperialism masked as Christian patriotism that held sway over turn of the 20th Century America:

Mark Twain wrote a story, "The War Prayer," in which an "aged stranger" enters a church where the congregation has been listening to an heroic sermon about the glory to be won in battle by young patriots armed with the love of God. Motioning the startled minister to stand aside, the aged stranger improvises a bitter peroration that makes clear the true meaning of the prayer:

O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with their little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it -- for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

The story didn't see the light of print until 1923, thirteen years after Twain's death. The editors to whom he tendered the manuscript thought it "unsuitable" for publication at a moment of high and patriotic feeling.

I wonder if in their heart of hearts, the Hagee's, Graham's, Stanley's, Crouch's, and Kennedy's of this world are really saying that prayer and meaning it?

April 28, 2003

War is hell, as they say. It forces men to do things otherwise they would never do. Take the case of the US sniper teams now patrolling Iraq. It is their job to take out those who are engaged in "guerilla" tactics against American troops. Not say, I in any way condone Iraqi "guerilla" tactics, but training and sending young men to methodically explode the heads and torsos of other men from 1000 meters away with high-powered rifles is a grisly business. Nothing of Christ's kingdom for sure. God help the young men doing this duty... but even more so, God help the men who's lust for riches and power deems it necessary to train men to do such.

It seems the Iraqis are already tiring of the American presence in their nation. If left to their own devices, no doubt the Islamists would carry the day in any post-Saddam government. This is just one more reason why American troops won't be leaving for quite a long time... no matter what contrary statements are issued by our government.

It seems morality never extends to financial matters when it comes to the psycho politicians allied with the religious right. Erstwhile hate mongering Rep. Tom Delay of Houston, TX has no problems denigrating and attacking all perceived enemies of God, Flag, Country, and the GOP... but he also has no problems with hiring telemarketers to scam the general population out of their money. Will there be telemarketers in Christ's kingdom? I think not.

On a grander scale, the GOP model is designed on the premise of rolling back the 20th Century to a time when government was small, the industrialists ruled, and social darwinism was practiced by Church and State alike... aka the good ole days as far as they are concerned. That's all right with the big guns though... as long as the money keeps rolling in. Their plan to keep it coming in is to continue the push to empire. This is why some folks in the Whitehouse will even admit that the pretext of Iraq having WMD's was nothing but a sham.

The mask is truly coming off I tell you. The beast is revealing itself for what it truly is. A new era is approaching... an era of Super Imperialism, which can only be practiced by one nation... America the Beautiful. As we pointed out in our last article, America Vs Europe, the Iraq war was as much an instrument to put Europe back in its place as lackey to the US, as it was about anything else. This war between the Euro and the Dollar, can really only have one winner... that is the side with the 400 billion dollar military budget. Reason being, just like the imperialism of old, economies ultimately must be backed up by militaries... especially exploitative economies such as America's and the EU's. So while the EU is trying there best to make this anything other than a "military game", they will fail and their cause will as well. God help us all, because the side which does prevail, has a date with destiny as foretold by the Scripture... that of Babylon the Great.

April 21, 2003

It's almost funny, the Lord admonishes us to not, "cast our pearls among swine," yet this is exactly what Christianity has done by allying itself with the Corporate Elites of the Business Right. Case in point being all of the Republican hogs securing spots at the trough that is reconstructing Iraq. Who says money can't buy friends?

Supposedly this war was supposed to make the country safer. Many disagreed beforehand and are still questioning the Orwellian concept of starting a war for peace. At least now all the big corporations can legally trade with Iraq... Interestingly though, quite a few paid substantial fines for trading with Iraq and other enemies of the state this past year. This of course continues a long standing American tradition of trading with the enemy that goes back to Prescott Bush, Henry Ford, and other heroes of 20th Century America.

All the pro-war folks are crowing over the overwhelming victory in Iraq and castigate those who protested due to this success. These yahoos don't realize that opposition to the war wasn't based on a fear of defeat... but on the ramifications of the US attacking another nation... In the new America that is no big deal though. An America more reminiscent of the Rome of Augustus than the old Republic... Needless to say it looks nothing like the America we learned about in school.

As we always say, don't overlook the hand Christianity has had in this "transformation". There are powerful players doing all they can to further cement the marriage between Church and State. These guys have big plans and are eager to drop as many bombs as is necessary to to secure American hegemony... err, I mean win souls to Christ. So when you see things in the news like Bush's statement that Syria is getting the message on Iraq, always consider that the guys plan on totally dominating that region and eventually the whole world. Which makes you wonder how much longer brave Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez will be able to hold out. The Americans have already tried twice in the last two years to get him overthrown... and now he is using the State oil company, which Big US Oil covets, to expand the "Revolution in Venezuela".

If he wanted to be cut a little slack, all he needs to do is slide George Sr. a few million in "consulting fees." After representing the interests of such controversial figures, crooks and scoundrels as the the Bin Laden family, Rev. Moon and the Barrick Corporation the man has already shown that no matter how despicable you may be, if the price is right... he'll put a good word in for you.

Things are at the point now where that kind of stuff hardly matters anymore. The naked power grab is fully underway. The US already girds the globe with military bases and is of the mind set to mercilessly use them. This has given pause for many on the left to examine the perils of empire, not realizing that those in power's sense of destiny in somewhat correct, though incredibly misguided. Misguided to the point of losing some of their touch with reality. As they say, power corrupts and absolute power absolutely corrupts. What they are striving for is absolute power on a global scale. A world where might makes right and the US is undisputedly the mightiest of them all.

This should all be a veritable Utopia for your average flag waving Christian. All that is required of them in the new American Christian World Order is to shop, go to church, support Bush and wait for Armageddon. A beautiful world where all the towel heads and pinkos will learn their place and there's always the affirmation of the summation of the American experience at your local Walmart. They'll need that positive support to soldier march on in the battle to transform the USA into the grand Christian Empire it is destined to be.

April 18, 2003

The next few months should be very interesting, to say the least. While everyone waits to see what the US beast has planned next... there are some trying to steer the next move to be one of their liking. Included are Likud-types in Israel. Most Americans are still living in something of a state of fear after 9-11, so say some... but I think more than the left care to admit are quite pleased with how convincingly US troops sliced through Iraq, and will be less hesitant about taking on the next foe.

This once again brings us back to Syria. Damascus has been on the powers in Washington's mind for quite some time... and conveniently, they can 3recycle many of their same arguments for attacking Iraq. One thing for sure is that the whole world took notice of how easily US troops destroyed the remnants of the Iraqi army and caused its cities to capitulate without Stalingrad-type seiges. "Who is able to make war (with the beast)?" Revelation 13: 4

In their continuing attempt to keep things ratcheted up... Rummy's boys have stated they would enter into Syria to snatch Saddam. That wouldn't cause any problems now would it? Also, just to be even handed... the US has also been bombing Iranian guerilla forces based in Iraq. I guess they want to leave all of their options open.

What all of this is doing is setting the course for a terrible "civilization war"... manufactured by the US of course. They want to push the Arabs, and all of Islam, to the edge. The reality that GWB is in actuality the new president of Iraq is just now sinking in there... and let me tell you it is just one more step along the way to the big war that the neocons and the evangelicals want.

Another part of the equation is the fact that Israel is trying to ride this horse as far as it can. The hardliners there have been in cahoots with the US for so long that they see this as an opportunity to gain some real breathing room. Sort of a reward, if you will, for doing the US's dirty work for places like Columbia. The idea of a netralized Syria and an extermination of Hezbollah, along with a removal of the Syrian threat in the Golan Heghts is of great appeal to them. This is why they support the idea of Operation "Syrian Freedom" even more vehemently than that of Iraq. Sadly though, in trusting in Babylon the Great to provide their security through military conquest, they are rapidly setting the stage for the signing of a treaty with said great power (the US), which will be a total abomination to God. That time seems to be not to far away.
