For starters I want to encourage everyone to check out our first Antipas Audio Journal. Please feel free to send us your feedback on this new edition to the website. Having said that... let's now go on to today's journal.

Why is it so hard for so much of the Church to see the truth about who Jesus Christ actually is?  It is not as if the message of Christ in the New Testament is written in riddles.  It does not require a PhD in theology to decipher the words of our Savior as recorded in the New Testament.

Yet a great majority of Christendom has a testimony, which in every way contradicts the words of the One they claim to serve.  Jesus was very straight forward insofar as what He expected of His followers.  He laid it out very clearly for all to see.  One such example are these words as found in the book of Matthew:

"But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.  And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.  And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.  Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.  Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" (Matthew 5: 39-44)

Where is this testimony seen or heard in the Church today?  It does not exist… it is absent without leave.  In its stead a religious system has been constructed that is contrary to the above words of Jesus on every point.  The Church today is a proponent of war, revenge, and retribution.  The Church today is about holding on to what is yours no matter the cost involved.  It is about self-sufficiency and self-reliance to the point where finding someone to go even one mile with you would be something of a miracle.  The Church today is also an institution, which loathes their enemies and will resort to any measure needed to overcome those whom they believe to be their adversary.

How has this happened?  How have we gotten to this sorry state?  It is not as if the Word changed.  It is not as if it has somehow become harder to gain access to the simple truth in Christ.  On the contrary… now more than ever… the Word is available to all.  We live in a day and age in which the Bible is readily available via print, electronic, and audio format… yet now more than ever the testimony of Christ runs silent through the masses that claim to serve Him.  We live in a time when the number of people on this earth, who claim to be His disciples is at an all-time high… yet injustice, oppression, violence, and murder reign supreme in this present world… with those claiming to serve Him also being those responsible, by and large, for the great majority of this present world’s pain.

It appears as if things have been turned upside down… Right is wrong, fiction is fact, and peace is war.  God’s Word saw this time coming though.  It knew the time would come when:

… they (the Church) will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (2 Timothy 4: 3-4)

Our Lord knew clearly that in the end of days:

“iniquity shall abound,”

(and that)

“the love of many shall wax cold.” (Matthew 24: 12)

It appears we are now living in those days.  It seems we are living in a world in which the love of many has indeed waxed cold… a world where the Church thinks nothing of allying itself with the American Elites against the poor of this world in warfare, economic oppression, and a quest for World Empire.

It is more than evident that the Church has been “turned away from the truth, unto fables” and the fact that they have heaped up to themselves (false) teachers, having itching ears… is all too easy to see.  To what end has all this occurred though?  For what reason have we reached the point where fulfillment of 2 Thessalonians 2: 11, which reads: “God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:” is a reality?

We have reached this point because we are now truly living in the “beginning of the end”.  We are the generation destined to live through the end of days.  The total apostasy running rampant throughout the Church is not the only sign pointing to this fact.  There are others… many others.

The final and most powerful of all world empires is presently established.  This American Empire, through its American New World Order System now controls the majority of the world.  Its armies currently control ancient Babylon itself… in fulfillment of the words of the prophet Daniel. (Daniel 2: 31-44) It is presently cementing its alliance with Israel in what will culminate in a treaty with death and hell. 

To take things back to the beginning… this empire is the one to which the fallen, apostate entity known as the 21^st Century Church is overwhelmingly allied.  It is through their alliance that world empire is made possible.  It is through their cooperation that the name of Christ has been attached to the goal of conquest.  It is through their partnership that the words of Revelation 17, which describe a woman (the false church) riding a beast (the empire of Babylon the Great) are fulfilled.

The point to all of this is that time is truly short.  We are on the edge of fulfillment insofar as prophecies concerning the end of the age are concerned.  Now more than ever true servants of the Lord must act in obedience to the Words of Christ.  They must follow His commandments.  They must reject that, which is falsely represented in His name… and they must testify to His truth.

Lastly… those within the United States of America, a.k.a. Babylon the Great, must specifically act in obedience to His commandment to “come out” of that terrible nation (Revelation 18: 4) In a recognition of the fact that “to obey is better than sacrifice” (1 Samuel 15: 22) … true believers within the US must act upon the clear warning God has provided when He says:

“Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.” (Isaiah 48: 20)

“Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks.” (Jeremiah 50: 8)

"Go out of the midst of her, my people! Let every man save his life from the fierce anger of the LORD!” (Jeremiah 51: 45)

There is no other choice on this matter.  There are no excuses… no special dispensations… no caveats… no mitigating circumstances… AT LEAST INSOFAR AS GOD’S WORD IS CONCERNED… this matter included.

It is my prayer that all would see, believe, and act upon this truth.

Way back in 1998, S.R. Shearer wrote an articled entitled, Culture Wars and Civilization Conflict.  The article itself was an extrapolation of his earlier writings on this subject in The Antipas Papers.  In the article Shearer stated clearly that the progression of time would see the Western World and the Muslim World “square-off” against each other in what would ultimately become a full-scale civilization conflict.

In the article Shearer draws upon the research and writings of Samuel Huntington in order to describe the pathology at work during the radicalization of entire populations, societies, cultures, and civilizations.  This pathology is one fueled by a catalyst known as the “action-reaction spiral” in which the actions and reactions of competing radicals within two antagonistic civilizations serve to draw in ever increasing numbers of previously uninvolved people into an ever-escalating conflict.

Huntington’s  “action-reaction spiral” shows how increasingly larger numbers within a given society are drawn into a radicalized view of their civilization’s “enemy” as each growing side acts and reacts to the other’s antagonism.  He also shows how this radicalization leads to a widening arc of violence that eventually engulfs all within each civilization.

Huntington’s case study is the Bosnian/Serb conflict in which Muslim Bosnians and “Christian” Serbs, formerly countrymen in the old socialist nation of Yugoslavia, fought a bitter war that eventually engulfed all sectors of each respective society.

Are we on the precipice of a similar occurrence on a global scale?  Will the currently secular nations of Europe see their populaces radicalized to the point of supporting military action against the Muslim world?  Will the secular governments of Islamic nations like Turkey and Egypt give way to Islamic fundamentalism and those desiring “ultimate conflict” with the West and Israel because they believe God [Allah] is on their side?

If history is any indication… this is exactly where we are headed.  More importantly though… biblical prophecy indicates that this is where we are headed as well.  Shearer shows clearly the coming occurrence of such a conflict between the Western and Muslim Worlds and he also links this coming conflict to specific biblical prophecies relating to the Gog Magog War (Ezekiel 38, Daniel 11) and the prophetic warnings of Jesus Christ in the Olivet Discourse.  Christ’s Words specifically read:

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.  For nation (ethnos) shall rise against nation (ethnos), and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.  All these are the beginning of sorrows."  Matthew 24: 6-8

As Shearer notes in the article Culture Wars and Civilization Conflict and in The Antipas Papers, the words used by Christ indicate a coming time of war on a massive scale in which the participants will be divided upon ethnic, cultural, religious, and civilization lines.  Back when Shearer first wrote these words it was somewhat hard to imagine a Western World united upon such lines and supportive of all-out war against the Muslim World.  It wasn’t quite as hard to imagine the same impetus within the nations of the Islamic World, but even there… the idea of a fully united Islamic front, willing to “go for broke” seemed to be something destined to occur much later in time.

My what a difference just a few years make.  The serious of events set in motion with the close of the Cold War, perpetuated by the extension of Globalization throughout the world, and hyper-accelerated by the actions of George W. Bush’s America now see us on the edge of fulfillment insofar as these words… and the prophecies they draw upon… are concerned.

More and more the West is becoming radicalized and united insofar as identifying and taking action against the enemy of radical Islam is concerned.  Already the people of the United States have almost completely given themselves over to the idea that Islam must be defeated and DESTROYED.  Now it seems events within the context of the afore-mentioned “action-reaction spiral” are progressing to the point where the old, dead and bloated corpse of post-Christian, pacificist Europe is being revived… in order to serve as an ally in America’s fallen inspiration to wage a total and complete war of annihilation against the Muslim World.

In doing so the people of Europe are marching toward a macabre vision of the future, which has its origins in the most heinous and heartless segment of the US power elite. In their view… the object is utter destruction for all foes of the American New World Order System and the lengths to which they are willing to go are summed up nicely in the following quote from highly esteemed US Neocon, Richard Perle in his comments concerning the scope of the US “war on terror”:

“This is total war…. If we just let our vision of the world go forth, and we embrace it entirely and we don’t try to piece together clever diplomacy, but just wage a total war…our children will sing songs about us years from now.”

So where are we at this present moment… insofar as the “action-reaction spiral” and its eventual culmination in “total war” are concerned?  The answer is that we are past the point of no return.  Initially, the people of Europe were overwhelmingly against involvement in the US “war on terror”.  Yet since that time we have seen the “Tube bombings” in London, Muslim riots throughout France, and the recent riots by Islamic peoples throughout the world in response to a cartoon published in a Danish newspaper.  All of these events have played right into the hands of the US… to the point that there is rampant speculation that the US has had a hand in these events.

As recently as three years ago… millions of Europeans took to the streets in protest of the US attack on Iraq.  Yet this day sees the same people more and more inclined to support US military action against Iran.  The Bush Whitehouse has made great use of the riots as a vehicle to push their agenda for war against both Iran and Syria.  More and more one can see the nations of the West uniting behind their cultural banner… and those within the world of Islam doing the same.

As I noted at the beginning of this journal… S.R. Shearer wrote about all this a very long time ago.  Additionally, the pages of this journal are replete with references to how all of this has been destined to unfold.  This process of escalation… that is currently taking place is one, which will ultimately lead to WW III… a.k.a. the Gog Magog War.

Presently though… the focus is not on world war… but on war with Iran… though the coming US strikes may indeed be the first salvo in what leads up to world war. Various reports from throughout the world indicate that a US strike against Iran is set to happen soon.  It is being reported that the attack will be conducted from the air [no ground troops] and that the strikes, which could take place as soon as late March, may include Israeli involvement.  Reports indicate they will be just as… if not more… severe as those unleashed upon Iraq during the “shock and awe” air campaign, which started the US attack in 2003 and that the US may even use tactical nuclear weapons.

It is imperative that true believers in Christ recognize the hell that is about to be unleashed upon the earth.  It is of the utmost importance that they realize that we have truly passed the point of no return.  The US will attack Iran.  The nations of Europe will be further radicalized in support of war against the Muslim World.  Secular Muslim nations like Egypt and Turkey will eventually fall to the radicalization process of the “action-reaction spiral.”

If the US does indeed attack in late March… and if they do use nuclear weapons in said attack… we may very well be closer to World War III, a.k.a. the Gog Magog War, than most would imagine.  In this environment the Islamic World may go up in flames.  Iran could attack both Israel and US forces in Iraq.  The secular governments in Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey could be toppled.  Hamas led Palestine may erupt in violence against Israel.  There could be terrorist strikes against the US and Europe.

In response the US will have the impetus to complete its transition to total police state.  Detention camps, persecution of dissenters, and a revival of the draft probably won’t be far behind.  The US will then be free to expand their efforts toward the goal of total war.  In Europe the surge to the right may be accelerated all the more.  Further measures may be taken to eradicate and contain Europe’s growing Muslim populations.  Support for an alternative to petrodollars may wither on the vine… and European participation in the expanded war in the Middle East may actually come to fruition.

The Bible shows clearly that things of this nature must definitely come to pass.  It is imperative that those who love the truth recognize this fact and act upon God’s Word.  As servants of Christ we are not called to be participants in the atrocities [per this link, even Southern Libertarians see what's coming] to come… we are instead called to serve as a Witness for God and against the American New World Order System… that is behind all these awful events.

For those in America… the call is to “come out” of that nation (Revelation 18: 4) and testify as a Witness for God.  For those already out [or who have never been in] the call is to stand as a Witness as well. 

Here at Antipas Ministries we are dedicated to fulfilling this call.  We are galvanized by the truth that the ultimate victory is in Christ… and that He is destined to return in order to establish His Kingdom upon the earth.  We are led to testify against the involvement of the Church in the Satanic Empire being established throughout the earth as well as against this empire itself.  We are also compelled to testify for the sweet, simple truth of salvation in Jesus Christ.

God has placed a call upon His people.  He calls them to love one another.  He calls them to be faithful servants.  He calls them to be a testimony to His Son.  And He calls them to obey His commandments.  Here on this website we have written extensively about these subjects.  We have stressed the need for the Church to serve the Lord, OBEDIENTLY, especially insofar as He commands His children within the United States, i.e. Babylon the Great, to come out of that nation.

S.R. Shearer has written multiple articles pertaining to this crucial matter and I too… have weighed in on this subject in the pages of this journal and in commentary.  Yet the call of the Lord extends beyond the boundaries of America.  His plan for the ages is all encompassing.  Throughout the world His saints number into the millions of which the exact amount I do not know.  In our efforts to warn the saints as to what is destined to come [based upon clear biblical evidence]… we also desire to be a part of that greater vision, which the Lord has… a vision of His saints throughout the world, who are a true witness and testimony to Him.  This is a vision of a Church inspired and indwelt by the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ and one in which the words of our Lord will ring true when He said:

“…upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16: 18

In focusing on this larger issue it is imperative for us to reach out beyond the boundaries of the United States and do more and more to assist, equip, enlist, and engage those brothers and sisters throughout the world who have the message of truth in Christ placed upon their hearts.  This in no way means our eyes are still not upon the situation in the United States.  It does not mean that the message we preach will not be directed towards those within the US.  In fact, quite the contrary is true.

By and large the things happening within the US are of the utmost importance for true believers to know and understand, regardless of their own geographic location.  Knowing and understanding what is taking place insofar as the apostate American Church and the beast-state it serves are concerned is critical.  Additionally… continuing to sound the alarm to those still within the US is something that most be done continuously… and with all the more urgency.

I am from America… my family and a multitude of dear friends are still in America.  More than anything else I want them to make it out.  I want them to see the truth concerning the place America holds in prophecy.  I want them to understand the truth regarding the US Church and State.  I want them… more than anything else… to take appropriate biblical action on these matters so that they all may be saved.

The Lord says:

“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3: 17

And His word also says:

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;…

…For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2: 1, 3-4)

I bring this up because I want everyone to be clear on this matter.  We at Antipas Ministries take no great joy in being the “prophets of doom and gloom” that some people have mistakenly made us out to be.  We take no solace in the thought that the overwhelming majority of American Christendom is heading deep into the abyss.  Rather… our compunction is to be faithful to the Lord and warn those we love… both friend and foe alike… of the straightforward truth concerning God’s Word.  Our joy is found in striving to be faithful servants… obedient in the things the Lord has placed before us.  The overriding imperative in all of this is as follows:

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 7: 21

“For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” Matthew 12: 50

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” John 14: 21

“… Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice…” 1 Samuel 15: 22

It is in light of these passages… and the overall theme of God’s will, which they convey… that we press toward the mark.  It is with this in mind that we stridently beseech those within the US to take God’s Word seriously on the matter of fleeing Babylon.  And it is in this light that we exhort people to take action upon His Word at the moment in which they understand and BELIEVE what the Master requires of them.

Without trivializing things too much… it is kind of like the relationship between instructor and pupil.  Once the instructor gives you an assignment and you realize there is no way out of it and that you must submit yourself to the will of the instructor… when do you begin the assignment?  When do you start preparing and taking the actions necessary to complete the assignment?  When we are children… we often times wait until the last minute… and fail to complete the assignment… letting the “other things” in our lives take precedent over that which should be most important.  Yet supposedly… when we are mature and responsible adult… we should begin our preparations and start taking action AS SOON AS IS POSSIBLE.

So too should it be for the true believer insofar as God’s Word, His commandments, and His call upon the Church are concerned.  To misrepresent, put-off, procrastinate, ignore, or minimize the significance of what God requires of you as a servant reveals the lack of relevance you hold His Word in… at least insofar as its standing within the reality of your life is concerned.

In this vein we will continue to warn, encourage, and compel… yet as I said above… there is also a greater message to be heard.  It is one, which is applicable to all the saints throughout the world.

This message is that God is calling His servants… to be a testimony to Him.  He is calling them to stand as a Witness on His behalf at THIS PRESENT MOMENT… and most assuredly in the times to come.  In light of this it is imperative for believers to know and understand the truth about Babylon the Great, i.e. the US.  It is of the utmost importance that they understand the truth about America’s church… and the awful compendium it has made with the “beastly US State.”

These matters are so terribly important because the Church has been called to testify as a Witness on behalf of our Lord against these abominable entities and their agenda of malice and destruction.  Throughout the whole of the world a battle for the truth is raging on.  In the one corner sits the forces of this present world and its system of antichrist… representing greed, avarice, apostasy, and eternal damnation.  In the other corner sits the Church… the TRUE CHURCH… which is called to victory in Christ, through our love in Him, one for another… and our testimony of truth to the world.  This victory is not in the flesh and is not to be won by the sword, our resources, or our carnal abilities.  It is instead one only made possible by the blood of the Lamb, and the word of our testimony… a testimony that is destined to prevail over tribulation, persecution, peril, etc. as it says in God’s word:

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” (Romans 8: 35-36)

And

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Revelation 12: 11)

So for those in America… the call is to flee… in obedience to the Word of God.  For the whole of the world the call is to stand a witness with His testimony.  For you see… the leaven with which American Christendom has been corrupted is not content to remain within its present boundaries.  Over the course of time it will be exported to the entire world.  It is a false gospel, which justifies American preeminence and provides covering to the lustful desires of empire.  It embraces a false eschatology, which is destined to deceive the whole of the world into receiving the one destined to “come in his own name.” (John 5: 43)

Meanwhile… time keeps marching on towards that inevitable day.  US threatenings… and preparations… for war with Iran continue with no regard given by the people of the US or its church of the ramifications such an action will have in both the short and long term.  Sadly… the people of America will benefit not one bit from the destruction to come in Iran.  All that they will get out of the deal will be higher fuel prices, further restrictions upon their civil liberties, and the deaths of more of their sons and daughters.

Concurrently the war drums are also beating for Venezuela, Syria, and even people within the US.  Make no mistake though… none of this is about Christ, the truth, justice, democracy, equality, etc… it is about hegemony, tyranny, and the spoils of war.

The spoils of war go to the elites… It is they who will see their wealth and power increase.  It is they who have everything to gain from the expansion of the American New World Order System.  Yet they have duped the American people and its Church into following their path [upon clicking link scroll down to the 2^nd entry for February 3^rd] to destruction.  They have convinced them into becoming cogs in the very machine destined to unleash ultimate evil upon the earth.  They have coerced them into becoming willing participants in the creation of a fascist empire, which is the enemy of all who love the truth.

It is against this evil that we all must testify.  Of its nature, origin, and intentions we must educate the masses… And of the fact that this entity IN NO WAY, SHAPE, FORM, OR FASHION REPRESENTS JESUS CHRIST AND HIS KINGDOM TO COME… we must all bear witness.

Just because you say something, or write something… does not make it true.  No matter how well written, no matter how persuasive, no matter how much one may wish to believe the content in question… the fact still remains that accusations, propaganda, beliefs, and theories must be substantiated by clear facts and solid evidence.  In a personal context this means that accusations and innuendos… though often bandied about with much passion and conviction… are not to be believed… absent real evidence.  In a theological context this means that prophetic and doctrinal theories are not to be accepted as truth… without clear, inerrant justification by way of God’s Word.  In the realm of this present world [on a macro-level] it means that no matter how much “the people” may want to believe the lies told by the US leadership, both Church and State… no matter how slick and persuasive the information may be… it must be judged solely on the basis of the actual facts present.

In this context it must be said that this journal… and Antipas Ministries as a whole have never been about the business of offering any sort of commentary, analysis, or even opinion, which cannot be substantiated by God’s Word and/or verifiable sources of news and information.  Yet the same cannot be said about the American Church or the US State.  Sadly the American people have given themselves over into believing all the propaganda being pushed upon them.  They believe in the lies their Church leaders tell them to justify the pursuit of riches, their alliance with the Elites, their support of the Elite’s wars, and their love of America over the Word, Jesus Christ.  They believe in the lies their political leaders tell them to justify these self-same pursuits and interests.

A tremendous propaganda machine has been constructed… which facilitates and motivates the hearts and minds of the American people into serving the interests of their masters in the American corporate elite.  Things have gone so far that, as Gore Vidal noted in a recent essay:

“Meanwhile, the indoctrination of the people merrily continues. “In a ‘State of the First Amendment Survey’ conducted by the University of Connecticut in 2003, 34 percent of Americans polled said the First Amendment ‘goes too far’; 46 percent said there was too much freedom of the press; 28 percent felt that newspapers should not be able to publish articles without prior approval of the government; 31 percent wanted public protest of a war to be outlawed during that war; and 50 percent thought the government should have the right to infringe on the religious freedom of ‘certain religious groups’ in the name of the war on terror.””

Regardless of the negative outcome such serious alterations in the fabric of American civil liberty would have upon the life of the average citizen… it appears that a large number of Americans have bought off on the lies told them by their government and their leaders… These are Orwellian lies, which seek to persuade people that the first amendment right for freedom of speech goes too far… that news outlets should have governmental consent to publish articles… and that amazingly indicate that the people of a “Christian” nation, supposedly founded upon the principle of religious freedom… now think “the government should have the right to infringe on the religious freedom of ‘certain religious groups’ in the name of the war on terror.”

My question is… Who gets to decide, which of the hazily stated “certain religious groups” are those that should have their rights infringed upon?  Will it be the same people who have decided those deserving of capture, incarcerate, and torture as “terror suspects” [most of whom have been innocent] in the name of America, democracy, and Christ?  Will it be those within the Church who think nothing of destroying lives, families, and the love of Christ through disobedience to the Word of God and their service to the things of this world?

America is entering a new frontier… and I believe it not to be a coincidence that the attacks upon all who love the truth… and proclaim it loudly and boldly… have intensified at this time.  For you see… those who would believe a lie… hate those who speak the truth.  Those who would seek their own will… revile those who seek the will of the Father.

Yes America is entering a new frontier… one in which propaganda, hatred, fear, and malevolence will reign.  As we have said repeatedly… included within this “new frontier” is an ever expanding police state, which specifically is preparing to detain thousand and thousands of Americans in case of a “domestic crisis”.  In this environment those who oppose the system are at risk… those who oppose the American Church are at risk… and those who oppose the direction in which America and its Church’s “new frontier” lies are most certainly at risk.

How will such people respond?  Will they stand for the truth and risk their own lives and livelihood in the face of evil?  Or will they silence themselves, cover their backsides, and join in with those who rail against America’s enemies?  Sadly… I believe the latter is most likely to occur.

What other conclusion can be made when over 50 percent of Americans believe military action should be taken against Iran? [51% in one poll and 57% in another]  And bear in mind that though the stipulation for this response was Iran’s continued production of materials that can also be used to develop nuclear weapons… the same propaganda machine, which erroneously charged Iraq with possession of WMD’s is that now being used to indict Iran and prepare the populace for war.

Once again I say… what other conclusion can be made, but that most Americans will fail to stand for the truth? There is no other deduction to make when one notices the absence of testimony within the US against the Church’s march in this direction… during this time when the cost of such testimony is not nearly so steep as it shall be?

We are ever so close to the next chapter in human history.  There are so many significant events occurring before our very eyes.  The signs are there for everyone to see.  As noted recently in this journal… events in Israel are rapidly pushing that nation toward the will of the Religious Right and their corporate and political masters within the US.  The recent victory by Hamas in Palestinian elections will only accelerate this trend.  The final outcome will be that of Israel rushing into the arms of those who would make league with antichrist… and eventually surrendering her sovereignty and security to the nation, which he commands… Babylon the Great, i.e. the United States of America.

Now more than ever the call upon God’s people is to ACT UPON HIS WORD.  Obey His commandment to “come out of Babylon the Great.” (Revelation 18: 4, Jeremiah 50 and 51)  Obey His call to stand as a testimony against it and the false church with which it is in league… and obey His call to also stand as a testimony for the Truth in Christ.

Failure to act has eternal consequences…  For you see, as S.R. Shearer stated in his latest article, THE PSYCHOLOGY OF FALSE ACCUSATONS… a failure to act, a failure to “stay away from the kind of rage and fury”, which is to eventually capture all who remain within Babylon the Great… failure to stand as a testimony against it… will eventually bring about your own destruction.  Specifically, Shearer wrote:

Finally, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I implore you - stay away from the kind of RAGE and FURY that we have been talking about here. It is, as Simmel described it, like an INFECTIOUS DISEASE, and once it takes hold on you, it will DESTROY you.

Get away from it as quickly as you can. Do not attempt to reason with it; it does NOT answer to reason. Indeed, as Simmel suggests, it "dethrones reason as the regulating power in human interrelationships." I solemnly warn you that if you allow yourself to be connected to this RAGE for any reason, you will someday find yourself "fighting against God" and participating in a "MASS PSYCHOSIS" that will bring upon your head the same kind of SHAME that swallowed up the German people - the kind that even all eternity will be unable to erase from your soul.

And he is absolutely right on this point.  There is a “MASS PSYCHOSIS” at work within the US and its church.  A strong delusion is being sent out among the flock.  It is similar to that which produced the “shame that swallowed up the German people” during the Third Reich and that which fueled the Inquisition.  Sadly though… its final form will be much more hideous and destructive than all other such manifestations.

Failure to remove one’s self from the midst of those under its spell… failure to remove one’s self from the nation responsible for birthing this “mass psychosis” into the world will carry an eternal price.  It will place the blood and suffering of all who perish by this evil onslaught on the hands of those who remain within and become “partakers” in the sins of this evil nation… and those words are not mine, but those of our Lord above when He says of Babylon the Great [i.e. the United States]:

“Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms; And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider; With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid; I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers.” (Jeremiah 51: 20-23)

This is no glorious calling… there is no honor before the Lord, which comes from partaking in the destruction of nations, kingdoms, man, woman, old, young, shepherd, and flock.  There is no more glory in serving God’s purposes in this way than there was in Pharaoh fulfilling his role of tormentor of Israel during the captivity. These are damnable offenses… and as the next part of Jeremiah 51 reveals… they are deemed as such by the Lord:

“And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the LORD.  Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain.  And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but thou shalt be desolate for ever, saith the LORD.” (Jeremiah 51: 24-26)

What a terrible thing to have the Almighty God say “Behold I am against thee”.  Yet this is specifically what He is saying to Babylon the Great and ALL ITS INHABITANTS. He says that the whole of Babylon and all its inhabitants shall be DESOLATE FOREVER.

He also says that there shall not be a stone for a corner or foundation taken from Babylon the Great [a reference to the “living stones” that make up the body, which is the Church. (1 Peter 2: 5)] He says this because all who remain within… WILL BECOME PARTAKERS IN HER SINS… They will fall prey to the strong delusion being sent from above… They will be swept up in the mass psychosis infecting all of America and its church.  It is for this reason God commands His children to flee from the midst of this blight.  It is our humble prayer that all answer this call obediently and serve as a testimony for Christ in this and all things.

I wonder what else it is going to take for people to realize the path on which the US is headed.  I wonder what else has to happen for folks to understand that the US has crossed the line and that things are not going to get better.  The stranglehold, which the elites hold over the nation, is not going to be broken.  The American Church is not going to alter the path upon which she is headed.  Those in power are not going to be tossed out… their wars are not going to be halted… and their efforts to transform the US into an Imperial state are not going to be undone.

In a very real sense… the Rubicon has been crossed… insofar as the transition of the US from democratic republic to dictatorial empire is concerned.  From wars of aggression, to the suspension of constitutional rights, and spying upon its own citizens… the facts on this point are all too easy to see.  Regardless of whether or not GW Bush finds a way to stick around past the year 2008, the engine he and his cohorts have set in motion will not be turned off.  The direction in which they have pointed the nation [and the world] won’t be altered.

The US corporate elites have made sure of this fact.  It is they who benefit from the establishment and growth of the empire.  It is they who seek to plunder the whole of the earth.  As such they will not allow this train to be derailed.  No matter what it takes… no matter how many must die… no matter the cost to average Americans, or any of the world’s citizens… the US elites will take all measures necessary to maintain their grip upon the levers of empire.

Hiding behind the legal immunity offered by their corporations and the oppressive constructs of free trade, and globalization the US elite operate like some sort of “inhuman monster” or “criminally ill mental patient”.  The corporate entities, which they have created, have been endowed with “god-like” powers by the judiciaries of this present world.  He who controls these entities… in the words of Charles Sullivan has:

“…unlimited power to do whatever he wants, while freeing him from the legal and ethical consequences of his actions. Completely devoid of conscience, he could kill with impunity. He could rule with an iron fist and never have to worry about being held accountable, even if he had a conscience. He would have complete freedom to feed his selfish desires. He would feel no connection to any community; or to the nation where he lives. He would be unrestrained by compassion for the needs and the rights of others. He would bear no responsibility to any nation or creed. His power would essentially know no bounds. His sole purpose would be to increase his power and to multiply his own wealth, as well as the assets of his supporters. He would assert dictatorial control over the political system and the judiciary and use it to his advantage. He would operate beyond the pale of the social contract that made civilization possible. No law or social contract would restrain him from taking what he wants, no matter whom it hurts. That is exactly the kind of power that corporations have.”

In this fact lies the truth that the stage has been set for all the terrible events associated with the end of days.  Through their corporate entities… the elites know no bounds.  Their sole purpose is to increase their power and to multiply their own wealth.  They have asserted dictatorial control over the political system and the judiciary… and they most definitely “operate beyond the pale” of the social contract that makes civilization possible.

In order to guarantee the perpetuity of this present system… in order to assure their current position remains unchallenged… the US elites are seeing to it that America is utterly and completely transformed into a fascist state.  They are working all the angles to create a new America in which dissent can be eliminated, the police state has all power over the citizenry, and the war machine can be harnessed in all its fury to expand the reach and riches of the empire.

From a propaganda aspect they are already there.  The overwhelming majority of Americans are either on board, too afraid to speak out, or too caught up in what it takes to just survive.  They don’t want to hear the truth about what is going on… or they don’t want to take action on behalf of the truth… and they certainly don’t want to place their necks on the line in any sort of way that might make a difference insofar as the Truth is concerned.

This is not the greatest of evil though.  As bad as the American New World Order System is… in and of itself… there is another factor, which pushes it “beyond the pale” insofar as evil goes.  This factor is the partnership, which American Christianity has formed with the US Elites and their American New World Order System.  For you see… as bad as it is to murder, steal, rape, pillage, oppress, and enslave for the sake of your own wealth and power… it is infinitely worse [in the eyes of God] to murder, steal, rape, pillage, oppress, and enslave for the sake of your own wealth and power IN THE NAME OF HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST.

To do so is to blaspheme Him in the worst possible way.  To do so is to descend upon a path, which leads straight to the pit of hell.  Yet this is exactly what the American Church has done.  In doing so they have constructed a theology and a mythology meant to justify their sins before God.  In doing so they have made a mockery of His Holy Name.  They have turned the name of the Prince of Peace into a bludgeon with, which they beat down their enemies, justify their greed, and give blessing to their violence.

It is because of this fact that God has singled America, as Babylon the Great… for the terrible judgment it destined to receive.  It is because of this fact that God has commanded His children to flee from the midst of this evil nation.  Like a man infected with some sort of “super virus” the moment will come when every single cell within the body will be compromised beyond the point of repair.  God’s commandment is to flee before that point is reached with His children.  It is imperative that they obey Him on this matter.

This thing has been in the making for quite some time now… so it is not as if the present situation just sprung up over night.  The warped theology, which today serves as an excuse for empire has its origins in the corrupt spiritual foundation of America’s first religious leaders… As Craig Unger points out in his must-read Vanity Fair article, American Rapture:

“More than three centuries ago, Puritans from John Winthrop to Cotton Mather saw America as a millennial kingdom linked to both the apocalypse and ancient Israel in a divine way that prefigured the Second Coming of Christ. America was to be the New Jerusalem, the Redeemer Nation, a people blessed with divine guidance.”

From John Winthrop and Cotton Mather we have now digressed to men like Jerry Fallwell, Pat Robertson, C. Peter Wagner, John Hagee, D. James Kennedy, James Dobson, Rick Warren, and Tim LaHaye… men willing to build upon an aberrant thought, a malignant ambition… and take it to its horrifying conclusion.  These are men who think nothing about making merchandise of their flocks and look not to Christ for alliance and strength… but instead to the very Elite, who “operate like some sort of ‘inhuman monster’ or ‘criminally ill mental patient’”.

Do you think I am being overly ambitious on this point?  Do you think that I am making too much of the situation?  Well, what else can be said when Tim LaHaye, one of the most powerful and connected men in all of American Christianity turns to a man like Nelson Bunker Hunt to get the Christian Right off the ground?  As Unger noted in his article, American Rapture:

“In 1981, LaHaye took up the challenge, resigning his pastorship to devote himself full-time to building the Christian right. He began by meeting with moneyed ultra-conservatives including Nelson Bunker Hunt, the right-wing oil billionaire from Dallas…”

For those of you who do not know about Nelson Bunker Hunt… I encourage you to read S.R. Shearer’s short piece on Hunt entitled, Nelson Bunker Hunt and the Death Squads.  In short… Hunt, in addition to being a “right-wing oil billionaire from Dallas”, is also known to have organized a para-military force called the "American Volunteer Group" in the 1960’s, which it is alleged - Hunt intended to use, death squad style, against political opponents.  He was involved in circles accused of involvement in the John F. Kennedy assassination… and He was also intimately involved in the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem, which is a racist "brotherhood" whose legacy of shame goes all the way back to the 1930’s and 40’s in their support of Hitler's war aims - including his policies towards the Jews.

As dastardly a man as Hunt was… this mattered not one bit to LaHaye [or to Pat Robertson who was also involved].  All that mattered to them was the millions of dollars he was willing to throw at them if they could build the Elites, whom Hunt represented, an army of right-wing foot soldiers.

For another example take LaHaye and Fallwell’s dealings with right-wing billionaire cult leader, Rev. Sun Myung Moon.  As S.R. Shearer pointed out in the afore-linked article on the evangelical-moonie connection:

“The Unification Church of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon embodies within its doctrine a particularly vile heresy: that not only did Jesus fail in His earthly ministry, but that He had sex with the women who followed Him. The attack here is not one that is aimed only at His work on the Cross, but at Him personally as a moral Being.

That any Christian in good conscience could have even the most indirect contact with such people defies all logic and rationale; and more, that Christians should involve themselves in a political alliance with them to "take back the nation for Christ" is "oxymoronic." There is simply no sense to it.

Yet this is precisely what is happening! - and perhaps more than anything else, it reveals the deadly spiritual and theological pathology involved in the lives of those who are embracing "Christian political action."”

Additionally, Moon has been involved in CIA sponsored death squad activity, has served time in Federal Prison for tax evasion, and believes himself to be the Messiah. Yet in spite of all this LaHaye and his wife have accepted incredible sums of money from Moon.  Sadly, LaHaye is not alone on this… Jerry Fallwell has also had his hand in Moon’s pocket.  When pressed as to how he could take money from a man such as Moon, Fallwell was so brazen as to say:

“... if the American Atheist Society or Saddam Hussein himself ever sent a ... gift to any of my ministries, be assured ... I will quickly cash the check.”

Yet men like Fallwell, LaHaye, Robertson, Kennedy, Wagner, Dobson, Hagee, Warren [the latter five have their own pedigrees of shame insofar as servicing the wicked aims of the US Elites are concerned]… and many more are those who stand at the forefront of the American Church.  Together they command tens of millions of voters, control billions of dollars, and are at the center of the engine driving the US to World Empire.

It is this fallen leadership, which is pushing so hard to ally with the right wing in Israel.  They do so not out of genuine love for God’s chosen people… but because they see it as necessary in order to bring about their own warped version of fulfillment to the Bible’s prophecies regarding the end of days.  Craig Unger made note of this fact in the earlier mentioned American Rapture article, when he quoted Gershom Gorenberg, a Jerusalem-based journalist and author as saying of American Evangelicals:

"They're not interested in the survival of the State of Israel. They are interested in the Rapture, in bringing to fruition a cosmic myth of the End Times, proving that they are right with one big bang. We are merely actors in their dreams. LaHaye's vision is that Jews will convert or die and go to hell. If you read his books, he is looking forward to war. He is not an ally in the safety of Israel."

To a large degree Gorenberg is right.  LaHaye and the American Church are looking for war.  They are not allies in the safety of Israel.  Whether or not they believe it… they have embraced a theology [and a mythology], which will someday lead them to betray and attempt to destroy all in Israel, who fail to submit to their false version of Christ.

As I am always wont to quote:

A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. (Galatians 5: 9)

And this is exactly what we are dealing with here.  What began as a twisted dream by men such as John Winthrop will eventually manifest itself as the penultimate nightmare for all of mankind.  Along the way there have been plenty of signs to warn folks of what is to come.

In addition to their dealings with the worst elements and actions of the US Elite… the leadership of the American Church has also been at the forefront of poisoning the Body of Christ with apostate doctrine.  Even within our lifetime… their efforts [whether intentional or not doesn’t truly matter] to bring about apostasy and deception have been quite incredible.  From the Dominionism to the prosperity gospel… the roots are firmly planted in the American Church.  From the hoax of the Pretribulation Rapture to the demonically inspired theology of the Manifest Sons of God… the anchor is the American Church.

Let’s go back to Tim LaHaye for a moment though… to further expound upon the fact that it is the US Church and its leadership, which are at the forefront of “spreading the poison.”  Before selling millions and millions of fiction books based upon his damnable eschatology, LaHaye made a name for himself by authoring a series of books on temperament analysis.  Katherine Yurrica shed light upon this fact in an excerpt from her book, The New Messiahs, recently posted on her website as an essay. In the foreword note to the essay Yurrica shares the following:

“The Bible prohibits using divination of any kind or being “an observer of times,” in Deuteronomy 18:10-11. Christians are not supposed to be trying to figure out what the future holds! Yet millions of evangelical Christians have blindly followed the teachings of Tim LaHaye, but few know that he is the father of a divination system. His so-called “Temperament Theory” is nothing more than a variant form of astrology. It is no wonder then that right wing religious followers of LaHaye are being led into political back rooms where corrupt political ideology is pawned off as “Christian.””

It is through men like LaHaye that the poison has been passed on to millions.  It is through LaHaye, the rest of the American Church’s leadership, and the millions of people they command that the US is being forged into a fascist police state bent upon world domination…  The Elites cannot accomplish this alone.  They must have their foot soldiers… and American Christianity is the vehicle by which they are provided.

In the days to come… maybe sooner, rather than later… things will really start to heat up.  We may not know how long the countdown to war with Iran will be… but we should know that it is on the way.  Even outcast conservatives like Pat Buchanan can see it coming… so why can’t those who love the truth?  Or maybe folks do see it coming… but don’t think there is anything they can do about it or should do about it.

The sad truth though… is that the Lord does demand action on the part of His saints.  He is not calling for His children to stop the war… He is not even calling for them to take back America from those who took it back for Christ.  He knows the path to oblivion upon which the US and its Church are headed.  He knows there is NO turning back.  As such His commandment for those who love Him and are within the US, i.e. Babylon the Great, is to COME OUT OF HER… LEST YE PARTAKE OF HER SINS AND RECEIVE OF HER PLAGUES. (Revelation 18: 4)

Already there are 3,000 to 4,000 Iraqis being killed every month by American troops in the name of Christ and the American Church/State, which sanctions and justifies the war as serving His purposes.  There are literally millions and millions more to come.  All of whose blood will be on the hands of those who remain and become partakers of her sins.  Besides, it won’t be any easier to take action tomorrow.  In fact… the further things progress the more the stakes will be raised… and the price of obedience will become all the greater as well.

As such… The time to act is now.  The time to obey is now.  The time to testify is now.  Tomorrow may just be too late.

“But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?” (Luke 12: 20)

The Bible shows us that the nation of Israel will be at the center of all that takes place at the end of the age.  As the days continue to march on we should not be surprised then… to find that more and more of our focus is drawn in that direction as well.  Israel’s struggle against the Palestinians, their plans to preemptively strike Iran, Ariel Sharon’s debilitating stroke, and the heightened animosity towards the tiny nation from its enemies are just the tip of an iceberg, which is leading the world to a fulfillment of the prophet Zechariah’s words:

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.” (Zechariah 12: 2)

However, before we get to that point… the stage must be completely set.  One thing to watch in respect to this is the burgeoning alliance between American Christianity and the Jewish State [through Israel’s rightwing].  One might be tempted to think it is a good thing that American Christians are so “fond” of Israel and so willing to support her.  Yet closer examination of the motives behind those involved, the direction in which things are ultimately headed and the manipulative hand of the US Elites in all of this should make it clear to every TRUE BELIEVER that this alliance will end very badly for Israel.

The truth of the matter is that the American Church and the US itself are at the beginning stages of ensnaring Israel into what will eventually be its “undoing.”  Today’s alliances will morph into something much more in the days to come… specifically a treaty with death and a covenant with hell (Isaiah 28:14-15, 18) in which Israel will find herself quite literally beholden to the devil himself.  To put it bluntly, the Israelis are being “played” by the Americans.  For years they have served as the US “attack dog” in the Middle East… a prominent threat against any Middle Eastern nation seeking to resist American hegemony.  In doing so they have engendered a level of hatred against them from these nations, which is quite simply mind-boggling.  While there is no doubt that much of this animosity is based upon religious and cultural lines… the fact that the Israelis have been such faithful toadies to their American masters has only stoked what was already a white-hot flame.

By placing themselves on what is essentially a permanent war footing in order to survive in the midst of their enemies… the Israelis have also left themselves incredibly vulnerable on the economic front.  The billions of dollars in aid they receive from the US every year is absolutely critical to their economic survival.  This only serves to further tether them to the US.  Now with the US firmly planted in Iraq and US sights set upon Iran… things are going to truly get interesting.

You see, while the US/Israeli partnership has been formed over the past few decades… there has also been another force at play.  This is the deepening bond between the American Church and Israel.  Whereas historically the Jews have always been cautious and fearful of Christianity [and for good reason at that]… the past couple of decades have seen the American Church make serious inroads into the Israeli state… a state, which has been by and large opposed to the proselytizing of its people by Christianity.

While there is still great resistance within Israel toward conversion efforts by the Church… up at the top, where the elites of the State, Church, and Synagogue reside… things are cozier than ever.  This is due to the fact that the American Church brings too much money and power to the table for the Israelis to resist.  Things have gotten so ridiculous on this point that leading American evangelical groups are presently sinking millions upon millions of dollars into Israel for various developments.

One such development is a fifty million dollar “theme park” to be built upon the shores of Galilee:

“The Israeli government is planning to give up a large slice of land to American Christian evangelicals to build a biblical theme park by the Sea of Galilee where Jesus is said to have walked on water and fed 5,000 with five loaves and two fish.

A consortium of Christian groups, led by the television evangelist Pat Robertson, is in negotiation with the Israeli ministry of tourism and a deal is expected in the coming months…”

Though recent news shows that Pat Robertson’s statements concerning Ariel Sharon’s stroke have soured the Israeli’s view of him, insofar as his involvement in the above mentioned theme park is concerned… the Israelis are still more than willing to do business with all the other American evangelical bigwigs that are chomping at the bit to make inroads within the land of milk and honey.  As crass and ridiculous as this whole theme park thing may sound [like a “Dollywood” for the Religious Right if you ask me] it is nonetheless reality… and it clearly shows the clout that money brings to the table for US evangelicals.  What this story also reveals … is just how important it is to the American Church to further their alliance with the Israeli Right:

“The project is expected to bring up to 1 million extra tourists a year but an undeclared benefit will be the cementing of a political alliance between the Israeli rightwing and the American Christian right.”

The great problem here is that the American Church is operating from a mindset that is based upon a fatally flawed view of Christianity and the end of the age.  They see themselves as either being “raptured out” before the Tribulation starts… or they see themselves as responsible for bringing about Christ’s kingdom on earth by taking dominion.  Both views are gravely erroneous and either way they believe it to be to their advantage to “accelerate” the prophetic events necessary for the end of the age to occur.

As such they see it as extremely important to be in a position to influence Israeli politics in order to insure Israel plays their “endtimes part” in acceptable manner.  Essentially what this means is that the American Church is going to continue expanding its influence over Israeli affairs in order to push Israel into fulfilling endtimes prophecy as they mistakenly see it.

Poor Israel… as if it weren’t bad enough that they have to serve the American State… now they have to contend with American Christianity trying to manipulate their own government through the Israeli rightwing.  There’s one thing to note though… the true masters in all of this are the US Elite.

Ultimately it is they who control both the American Church and the Israeli State… The American Church might think that they are doing God’s bidding in all of this… but the simple fact is that they are serving the interests of the US Elite… and as such it is the US Elite who will continue to manipulate affairs in Israel through the Church via the Israeli Right and through the US government… until the Israelis are forced to sign away their very sovereignty.

With that mind it should be noted by all who love the truth that for the Israelis to ally themselves in such a way is anathema to God.  For them to turn to the Woman and the Beast for protection and support is to not only cut their own throat, but to reject God Himself as their protector… and this is exactly what will happen down the road. Conversely God does have a huge part for Israel to play, insofar as His testimony is concerned during the end of days.  Regardless of the fact that the nation itself is destined to an alliance with THE ENEMIES OF GOD… among His people there are those who will be called to serve Him as a WITNESS, along with the true Church, during this time.  And it is through these dear souls that ALL the promises to Abraham will be fulfilled.

While much of our focus is properly affixed on events in Israel… let us also keep our eyes open to things occurring elsewhere.  Along those lines… one thing definitely worthy of keeping an eye on is the rapid transformation of the US into a full-blown fascist state.  In times past freedom of speech… even speech critical of the president… was actually protected by the Bill of Rights.  Now it seems that merely writing a book critical of the Bush regime is enough to get one’s self into real trouble regardless of the constitutional right to do so.

For proof of this take a look at what has happened to James Moore, an Emmy-winning former television news correspondent and co-author of the best-selling book, Bush's Brain: How Karl Rove Made George W. Bush Presidential.  Moore has been placed on a no-fly list because he is supposedly suspected of involvement with terrorists.  The reality though… is that this is the Bush administration’s payback for all the damaging information found in Moore’s book… and an attempt to silence him from any future efforts.

His placement on this list means that among other things he is not allowed to fly on commercial airlines within the US.  This guy is no radical fundamentalist Muslim.  He is not tied in with the antiwar/anti-globalization crowd.  He doesn’t even have a criminal record.  Yet he still finds himself as one of the 80,000 [THAT’S RIGHT EIGHTY-THOUSAND] people who have been banned from flying in the US, based upon the claim that they are somehow involved in terrorism.  Moore at least is high profile enough for people to learn of his plight and rally to his defense... my question is what about the other 79,999 or so people?  How many of them actually have actually done nothing wrong… except for speak out against Bush and company in some capacity?

The long arm of the US police state also extends beyond its own borders.  Everyone knows about the CIA’s abduction and rendition of “suspected terrorists” throughout Europe and North America… but how many folks know that the US will also prevent foreign flights from traveling through American airspace if someone on a “watch list” is on board?

Recently a Canadian man who was flying with his family to Mexico for a vacation was detained for being a suspected terrorist.  He was not allowed to fly back to Canada on a commercial airline because the US would not allow him to even ride over its airspace.  The man’s family was forced to immediately return to Canada without him as well.  No evidence has been produced to show the man is actually connected to terrorist groups and all indications from the Canadian side are that the man is guilty of nothing more than being of Middle Eastern descent.

When things like these start happening people really need to sit up and take notice.  They need to consider how long it will be before they end up on some sort of a list if they are truly out there “contending for the truth”.  [Chances are I am already on one]… Because the simple fact is this… these are the types of things that scare people into silence. 

Additionally… the US government has been tapping into the emails, telephone calls and faxes of thousands of average American citizens over the past four years to supposedly search for people communicating with Al-Qaeda.  The question to be asked though, is how many of these people are in the same category as James Moore?  How many in actuality have nothing to do with Al Qaeda, but are instead people, who have been critical of the Bush regime, the war in Iraq, the religious right, globalization, etc. etc.?

Also worthy of consideration is what the next step is going to be.  The news is already out that the US government didn’t actually kill all the Orwellian activities associated with the Total Information Awareness program run by Iran-Contra convicted criminal John Poindexter.  Instead they just moved the whole operation into the shadows… where there is now no true legislative oversight for the horrific program.

What this program seeks to do is build an information dossier on millions and millions of Americans.  In essence it means that they want to eventually “have a file on everyone.”  That way they can determine who is loyal to the state and who isn’t… and for those who aren’t… they can ban you from flying, shut off your credit, prohibit you from crossing the border, get you fired from your job, and eventually round you up and “disappear” you.

In the face of all this… how many people are going to stand up for the truth?  As S.R. Shearer has already pointed out multiple times… if you can’t stand and testify now, what makes you think you’ll be able to do it at some later point… when having such a testimony could cost you everything… even your life?

Maybe folks are waiting for some earth-shattering event to happen.  Maybe they think that the true Christians within the American Church will rise up en masse at that point to stand with them.  Yet, chances are this won’t be the case.  It wasn’t the case in Nazi Germany… when a whole nation marched obediently behind a national leadership bent upon conquest, destruction, and extermination of its enemies.  Milton Mayer bore testimony to this fact in his book They Thought They Were Free, when he wrote:

“What no one seemed to notice was the ever widening gap between the government and the people. And it became always wider... the whole process of its coming into being, was above all diverting, it provided an excuse not to think... for people who did not want to think anyway gave us some dreadful, fundamental things to think about… and kept us so busy with continuous changes and 'crises'
